In this age of quarrel and hypocrisy, the only means of deliverance is the chanting of the holy names of the Lord. There is no other way. There is no other way. There is no other way. (CC Madhya 6.242)

TRANSLATION
By regular attendance in classes on the Bhāgavatam and by rendering of service to the pure devotee, all that is troublesome to the heart is almost completely destroyed, and loving service unto the Personality of Godhead, who is praised with transcendental songs, is established as an irrevocable fact. (ŚB 1.2.18)
It is said that we have to serve Śrīmad Bhāgavatam and perform kīrtana always without any break. How is that possible, both simultaneously and also always? The fact is that both are the same.

If Hare Krsna Mahā-mantra is a kīrtana, then Śrīmad Bhāgavatam is also a kīrtana, song of glories of the Lord. Śukadeva Goswami has sung the glories of name, form, qualities, pastimes and abode of the Lord. Studying Śrīmad Bhāgavatam is also a kīrtana. That is why Śukadeva Goswami is called the Ācārya of Kīrtana Bhakti. We do both, kīrtana and studying of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam.

TRANSLATION
The merging of the living entity, along with his conditional living tendency, with the mystic lying down of the Mahā-Viṣṇu is called the winding up of the cosmic manifestation. Liberation is the permanent situation of the form of the living entity after he gives up the changeable gross and subtle material bodies. (ŚB 2.10.6)
Śrīla Śukadeva Goswami is explaining the definition of liberation (mukti) in the 2nd canto of ŚB. How to attain liberation? He says that a devotee is always liberated. Without becoming a devotee, one cannot be liberated. Liberation is hitvānyathā rūpaṁ, where hitvā means - giving up. Therefore, liberation is possible after giving up all the bodies. Liberation can be obtained only in human life. We have a physical or gross body which we give up several times again and again. But simply giving up this gross body, one does not get liberated. There is another body, the subtle body. It is made up of mind, intelligence and false ego. One has to be freed from this body also to get liberated. Doctors also have not seen yet this subtle body.

TRANSLATION
For man, mind is the cause of bondage and mind is the cause of liberation. Mind absorbed in sense objects is the cause of bondage, and the mind detached from the sense objects is the cause of liberation. (Currently mind is the cause behind our bondages. But the same mind can also be the cause of our liberation.)

TRANSLATION
Mahārāja Ambarīṣa always engaged his mind in meditating upon the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa, his words in describing the glories of the Lord, his hands in cleansing the Lord’s temple, and his ears in hearing the words spoken by Kṛṣṇa or about Kṛṣṇa. This is the way to increase attachment for the Lord and be completely free from all material desires. (ŚB 9.4.18)
om tad vishnoh paramam padam sada

TRANSLATION
Just as the sun's rays in the sky are extended to the mundane vision, so in the same way the wise and learned devotees always see the supreme abode of Lord Vishnu. Because those highly praiseworthy and spiritually awake brahmanas are able to see the spiritual world, they are also able to reveal that supreme abode of Lord Vishnu. (Rig Veda 1.22.20)
Devotees always see the form and abode of the Lord. If we engage our mind in Krsna always, then we get liberated.
teṣāṁ satata-yuktānāṁ

TRANSLATION
To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me. (B.G. 10.10)
Krsna gives us the right intelligence.
There is intelligence and foolishness (vinash kale viprit buddhi). Foolishness results in bondages.
sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo

TRANSLATION
I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am the knower of the Vedas. (B. G.15.15)
The intelligence is given by Krsna so that we can give up our gross and subtle bodies and get liberated. We must give up all thoughts that are of desire for sense gratification as they entangle us into bondages.
prakṛteḥ kriyamāṇāni
guṇaiḥ karmāṇi sarvaśaḥ

TRANSLATION
The spirit soul bewildered by the influence of false ego thinks himself the doer of activities that are in actuality carried out by the three modes of material nature. (B.G.3.27)
vimūḍhātmā means bewildered soul. This gives us the feeling of the doership. We start having the feeling that I am the doer. This develops the false ego. Whereas the fact is that Krsna is the actual doer through material nature. We have to get liberated from false ego. You must have seen a loaded bullock cart many times. It is heavily loaded and pulled by the bullocks. Sometimes a dog comes and starts walking under the cart, between it's wheels. Now if the dog thinks that I am so strong that I am carrying so much weight then it is false doership. False Ego means Ahankar, where Aham means I. Ahankar means the feeling that I am the doer, I am the controller, I am the owner and enjoyer.
Whereas real ego is Aham dashoshmi, that is, I am the servant of the Lord.
yeh jiva krishna dāsa ehi vishwaas karlo to dukh na hoi
We have to realize that we are servants of the Lord.
‘ke āmi’, ‘kene āmāya jāre tāpa-traya’
ihā nāhi jāni — ‘kemane hita haya’
TRANSLATION
Who am I? Why do the threefold miseries always give me trouble? If I do not know this, how can I be benefited? (CC Madhya 20.102)
Sanātana Goswami asked, "Who am I?" When we understand the real aham, I or real ego, we will get rid of false ego (ahankar). Śukadeva Goswami says hitvānyathā rūpaṁ, that giving up all the physical bodies at death is not enough to be liberated. The subtle body made up of 'mind, intelligence and false ego' is also to be given up. It is then only sva-rūpeṇa vyavasthitiḥ, that we can know and see the actual form of our soul. The soul has its form and qualities. Any soul, irrespective of what body it has been given, has eternal form. This is our original form. This is svarupa. The associates of the Lord are situated in their original eternal form. We are also of the same form. Every soul has a different eternal relation with the Lord namely dāsya rasa, sākhya rasa, vātsalya rasa. Soul has its own eternal name, form and services to the Lord.

TRANSLATION
One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna. (B.G. 4.9)
He, whose soul is situated in its original form after giving up both gross and subtle bodies and who knows the appearance and activities of the Lord and leaves his body, can go back home back to godhead. This is food for thought for the day. Contemplate on this topic during the day. You can read Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad Bhāgavatam. Listening has to be followed by contemplation & reflection. One must have a vigorous thinking so as to apply it to his life.
If anyone has any questions, realizations or comments then you may write it down in the chat.
