Overcome the fear of death forever!
Hare Krsna!
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare.
om namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
When we recite this we should feel the presence of Vasudev. When we offer obeisances to Vasudev, it is a form of surrender. om namo bhagavate vasudevaya! It includes the understanding - vasudev Sarvam iti. Then we say namaha, that means unto such a Vasudev I am offering my obeisances. Then one who offers obeisances also destroys aham. Who knows really how much one does this. It's called self-denial. Usually one goes on broadcasting ones own glories and tries for aham purva. But we talk about namaha when we say,
Vasudevaya namaha!
Krisnaya namaha!
Gurave namaha!
Then it is as if we are not existing. It's not that we are not existing materially, but it means that our aham doesn't exist. We try to destroy this aham. I actual fact we offer obeisances because we want to destroy this aham.
īśvaro 'ham ahaṁ bhogī
siddho 'haṁ balavān sukhī
āḍhyo 'bhijanavān asmi
ko 'nyo 'sti sadṛśo mayā
Translation
I am the lord of everything. I am the enjoyer. I am perfect, powerful and happy. I am the richest man, surrounded by aristocratic relatives. There is none so powerful and happy as I am. I shall perform sacrifices, I shall give some charity, and thus I shall rejoice. (BG 16.14)
Aham goes on and to destroy that aham also we offer obeisances. Lord also said,
man-manā bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru
mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te
pratijāne priyo 'si me
Translation
Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend. ( BG 18.65)
The Lord has said, “Offer your obeisances to Me.” However till the time we have this aham we will not bow down. People just stand with their arms folded across the chest. It is a famous posture of one of the swamijis. Then they say aham brahmasmi. We are not just ordinary aham. What type of aham are we? Aham Brahma asmi! That means this aham is still more elevated. We don't bow down before anyone. We don't surrender to anyone. For this reason Yamaraja has said, 'Bring those people to me!' Which people?
jihvā na vakti bhagavad-guṇa-nāmadheyaṁ
cetaś ca na smarati tac-caraṇāravindam
kṛṣṇāya no namati yac-chira ekadāpi
tān ānayadhvam asato 'kṛta-viṣṇu-kṛtyān
Translation
My dear servants, please bring to me only those sinful persons who do not use their tongues to chant the holy name and qualities of Krsna, whose hearts do not remember the lotus feet of Krsna even once, and whose heads do not bow down even once before Lord Krsna. Send me those who do not perform their duties toward Visnu, which are the only duties in human life. Please bring me all such fools and rascals. ( SB. 6.3.29)
Those who don't bow down before the Lord at anytime, bring such proud, conditioned souls to me. tān ānayadhvam. 'Bring all such people to me'. This was the order given by Yamaraja to his servants. Yamaraja is one of the maha-bhagvatas. Today we will broadcast to you a lecture given by Yamaraja to his servants. Who is today's speaker? He is Yamaraja. Normally just by hearing the name of Yamaraja out of extreme fear our dhoti becomes wet. Which is the supreme fear a jīva has? Death! Just see everyone is unanimously saying this, although you all are from different countries, from various states and different towns. But all of you have similar thinking regarding the supreme fear. It's not that only Indians are fearful and Americans are not. Currently Americans are also very afraid and what to speak about the Chinese, who are also very much fearful. Afraid of what? It's death! This is an arrangement by the Lord. The Lord’s illusory energy, maya has created this fear. For all there is one rule. There is no question of our own or someone foreign. All have become foreigners, they have become Vimukh. Bring those vimukh persons. tān ānayadhvam asato - vimukhan.. Those who are Unmukh, turning to the Lord. Don’t bring them.
tān ānayadhvam asato vimukhān mukunda-
pādāravinda-makaranda-rasād ajasram
niṣkiñcanaiḥ paramahaṁsa-kulair asaṅgair
juṣṭād gṛhe niraya-vartmani baddha-tṛṣṇān
Translation
Paramahamsas are exalted persons who have no taste for material enjoyment and who drink the honey of the Lord’s lotus feet. My dear servants, bring to me for punishment only persons who are averse to the taste of that honey, who do not associate with paramahamsas and who are attached to family life and worldly enjoyment, which form the path to hell. ( SB. 6.3.28)
Those who are Vimukh from the nectar of the Lotus feet of the Lord. Makarand Anand kand those who don't relish such nectar from the Lotus feet of the Lord are
hari hari! biphale janama gońāinu
manuṣya-janama pāiyā, rādhā-kṛṣṇa nā bhajiyā,
jāniyā śuniyā biṣa khāinu
Translation
Lord Hari I have spent my life uselessly. Having obtained a human birth and having net worshiped Radha and Krsna, I have knowingly drunk poison. ( Dainya Bodhika Song 2 (Ista Deve Vijnapti), by Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura. book- Prarthana)
They are not drinking the nectar but they are drinking just the poison. Liquor which is not good, they are drinking that. Bring those! That was the order of Yamaraja. Srimad Bhagavatam explains that if one desires fearlessness, which usually everyone desires, then what should they be doing?
etan nirvidyamānānām
icchatām akuto-bhayam
yogināṁ nṛpa nirṇītaṁ
harer nāmānukīrtanam
Translation
O King, constant chanting of the holy name of the Lord after the ways of the great authorities is the doubtless and fearless way of success for all, including those who are free from all material desires, those who are desirous of all material enjoyment, and also those who are self-satisfied by dint of transcendental knowledge.(SB. 2.1.11)
This is also siddhanta. It's called trikala badhit sattya, in Bhagavatam. There are three tenses, past tense, present tense and future tense. But none of these can make any changes to this truth. This is the meaning of trikala badhit sattya. The truth is always the truth, it was truth, it is truth and it will remain truth. It's the opinion of Yogis - harer nāmānukīrtanam . If you do the kirtana of names of the Lord then your desire of becoming fearless will be fulfilled. Yamaraja is explaining here,
nāmoccāraṇa-māhātmyaṁ
hareḥ paśyata putrakāḥ
ajāmilo 'pi yenaiva
mṛtyu-pāśād amucyata
Translation
My dear servants, who are as good as my sons, just see how glorious is the chanting of the holy name of the Lord. The greatly sinful Ajamila chanted only to call his son, not knowing that he was chanting the Lord’s holy name. Nevertheless, by chanting the holy name of the Lord, he remembered Narayana, and thus he was immediately saved from the ropes of death. (SB. 6.3.23)
Listen o sons! Yamaraja called his servants his sons, and told them, “You are still immature like a child and don't understand things properly,”
" What happened exactly?" This is all History. “Such a degraded sinner and we couldn't bring him in front of you. Some other party arrived there. They were four beautiful persons, with so much power, that by their influence they just pushed us out of that situation. We returned empty handed and with empty pockets. We are in your service for such a long tim, but this is the first time this has happened that we went somewhere to bring a particular soul but we were unable to do so. How could this have happened?”
Then Yamaraj is known as Yama-bhagavata. This he has also only explained that he is one of the Bhagavatas.
dharmaṁ tu sākṣād bhagavat-praṇītaṁ
na vai vidur ṛṣayo nāpi devāḥ
na siddha-mukhyā asurā manuṣyāḥ
kuto nu vidyādhara-cāraṇādayaḥ
Translation
Real religious principles are enacted by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Although fully situated in the mode of goodness, even the great ṛṣis who occupy the topmost planets cannot ascertain the real religious principles, nor can the demigods or the leaders of Siddhaloka, to say nothing of the asuras, ordinary human beings, Vidyādharas and Cāraṇas.(SB 6.3.19)
Yamaraja has explained this great principle. Dharma has been created by the Lord. We should save ourselves from mano-dharma. People say, ' yat mat tata path'. Our type of thinking and your type of thinking, these cannot become religion. There are many man made religions. But all these cannot be called religions. How is religion! dharmaṁ tu sākṣād bhagavat-praṇītaṁ Then further Yam-bhagavata is explaining that there is a list of those who are well versed with this religion, who are known as dvadasa maha-bhagvats, who know this religion very well. They know the exact principles of religion.
svayambhur naradah sambhuh
kumarah kapilo manuh
prahlado janako bhismo
balir vaiyasakir vayam
dvadasaite vijanimo
dharmam bhagavatam bhatah
guhyam visuddham durbodham
yam jnatvamrtam asnute
Translation:
Lord Brahma, Bhagavan Narada, Lord Siva, the four Kumaras, Lord Kapila [the son of Devahuti], Svayambhuva Manu, Prahlada Maharaja, Janaka Maharaja, Grandfather Bhisma, Bali Maharaja, Sukadeva Gosvami and I (Yama) myself know the real religious principle. My dear servants, this transcendental religious principle, which is known as Bhagavata-dharma, or surrender unto the Supreme Lord and love for Him, is uncontaminated by the material modes of nature. It is very confidential and difficult for ordinary human beings to understand, but if by chance one fortunately understands it, he is immediately liberated, and thus he returns home, back to Godhead ( SB. 6.3.20-21)
He then spoke 12 names and then he said, ‘vayam , which means we. In Sanskrit there is aham, avam, vayam. Aham means - I , avam means us both and vayam means we all. This way we are 12 people who are dvadasaite vijanimo
dharmam bhagavatam bhatah
At one place he is addressing them as his sons and here he is addressing them as bhatah, which means o servants! understand - dvadasaite vijanimo
There are 12 such people, who know ( vijanimo) dharmam bhagavatam. If we have to name the religion then what name should it be? They have already given the name which is Bhagavata Dharma. There is no name of the religion known as Hindu. It is very latest name which is given by Muslims. Those who are staying beyond the River Sindhu, which later became Hindu. What is the name of the real religion? It's Bhagavata Dharma. guhyam visuddham durbodham. It's a secret principle about religion. We know about it. Namochharan mahatmyam… Knower of the religion, Dharmaraj is Yamaraja. His duty is like that of the judge. Dharmam Bhagavatam vijanimam. Key knows the religion very well & decisions taken by him cannot be wrong at any time. 'Whatever Yamaraja says will be truth only' , such is his reputation and that is why he has been appointed. You need not fear. What you should do? You should chant and do kirtana.
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

tasmāt saṅkīrtanaṁ viṣṇor

Translation
Sukadeva Gosvami continued: “My dear King, the chanting of the holy name of the Lord is able to uproot even the reactions of the greatest sins. Therefore the chanting of the sankirtana movement is the most auspicious activity in the entire universe. Please try to understand this so that others will take it seriously.” ( SB. 6.3.31)
Yamaraja also has some the glories of Harinama. He knows a lot of details about the glories of harinama. tasmāt saṅkīrtanaṁ. He is saying tasmat - therefore , O sons or o servants! - you all also understand the glories of harinama very well. What did Ajamila do? He uttered Narayana! Narayana! Don't know how many times he said it, but saying even once is also sufficient. This is also the glories of harinama. Even if you say it once and if it is in namabhas then you will be delivered. Even if you chant the name of the Lord purely once then you will be liberated. If you chanted Japa even once purely then you will become devotee. You will get liberated by being namabhas and you will become a devotee by chanting it once purely. Such is His harinama. It removes all the miseries and brings auspiciousness.

Translation
My dear King, although Kali-yuga is an ocean of faults, there is still one good quality about this age: Simply by chanting the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, one can become free from material bondage and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom. ( SB. 12.3 51)
Yamaraja has given orders for a special warning to his yamadutas. jihvā na vakti bhagavad-guṇa-nāmadheyaṁ
jihvā na vakti bhagavad-guṇa-nāmadheyaṁ
cetaś ca na smarati tac-caraṇāravindam

tān ānayadhvam asato ’kṛta-viṣṇu-kṛtyān
Translation
My dear servants, please bring to me only those sinful persons who do not use their tongues to chant the holy name and qualities of Kṛṣṇa, whose hearts do not remember the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa even once, and whose heads do not bow down even once before Lord Kṛṣṇa. Send me those who do not perform their duties toward Viṣṇu, which are the only duties in human life. Please bring me all such fools and rascals. (SB 6.3.29)
Tongue doesn't say? What can't it say? guṇa-nāmadheyaṁ. Those people who don't glorify the form name, pastime and qualities of the Lord, tān ānayadhvam.
Ajamila chanted the names of Hari, then why did you want to bring him over here? cetaś ca na smarati tac-caraṇāravindam. Those whose consciousness doesn't concentrate on the lotus feet of the Lord, or such people who don't remember the Lotus feet of the Lord, bring all those. Lord has said machittaha - how should be your chittaha be? - Manmana or machittaha it's the same thing. “Those whose consciousness is not in me or those who are not Krishna conscious bring all those”. kṛṣṇāya no namati yac-chira ekadāpi Those who have not bowed down before me even once. All those who don't utter the names of the Lord, who don't remember the Lord, who don't bow down before the Lord, such asat people you bring. There are two kinds, sat and asat. Satsang and asat-sang. Asat-sang tyagat ei vaishnava aachar. How are these people ? - 'kṛta-viṣṇu-kṛtyān Those who don't do any work which is sat, bring all such people. All such people should be fearing the Yamadutas. Those who don't do any work for the pleasure of Visnu, Krsna or Panduranga. If you are doing then you will be free from fear. This is the method of getting free from fear. There is also aahar nidra bhaya maithunam.
We are also busy in this business. Coronavirus also keeps us busy for saving our own self. 'Marata kya nahi karata!' So much efforts we do to see that we will not die. From the time of our birth, our efforts start to save ourselves from death which continues for whole life.
Give us the boon that we will not die during day or night, not inside nor outside, not with weapon nor any astra. Hiranyakasipu had asked such boons. We may not have asked for such boons, but our efforts are towards achieving it. Whatever benedictions Hiranyakasipu asked for, whole worlds efforts are also towards achieving that. Should not die in a day or in a night, should not die here & also not there. Oh! Yesterday night I didn't die, that's good. When we get up, oh! I haven't died yesterday night, that's good. But while sleeping at night one may feel, whether we will get up tomorrow or not ! & When we get up in morning, thank God!! We are alive. In order to remain alive, & stay away from death , this chanting is there
Hare Krsna Hare Krsna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
Become fearless by chanting this mantra. This has been broadcasted straight from Saiyamani, Capital of Yamaraja. These are the words of Yama-bhagvat. By hearing this we can be fearless. Now time is up. There is no time for questions and answers. It's the time for darsana.
Radha Pandharinath ki jay!
Gaur Premanande Hari Haribol!
