Ratnagiri
Hare Kṛṣṇa!
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Sri Guru & Gauranga. All glories to srila Prabhupada & beloved Gurudev.
On 16th July Vyas-pooja festival was celebrated in one of the beautiful hall , located centrally of Ratnagiri city. It was a combined vyas-pooja of H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaj & H.H. Radhanath Swami Maharaj. As the congregation is small devotees there celebrate Vyas-pooja once in a year. The whole program was very well organised under the guidance of main preacher ovar there H.G. Madan Gopal prabhuji.
H.G. Madhav Hari prabhuji & myself were invited to speak about the glories of both the Maharajs. It was our immense fortune that we were given one hour to glorify H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaj & seperate time further to glorify H.H. Radhanath Swami Maharaj. We presented the glories of Gurumaharaj from his childhood, Cross maidan festival , various projects done by Gurudev with help of PPT. H.G. Madhav Hari prabhuji explained in brief about various books by Gurumaharaj, with the help of pictures.
After presentation bhoga offering was done & then Gurvastakam was sung beautifully by congregation devotees & H.G. Madhav Hari prabhuji offered aarti. Then H.G. Madan Gopal prabhuji guided all with pushpanjali mantras & delighted devotees offered their respect with faith in form of flower petals. Around fifty yo fifty five devotees attended the celebration.
In small town like Ratnagiri, as devotees don’t get more exposure to various things , they find it difficult decide about whom they want to surrender & take shelter of. In view of giving them glimpses of glories of different Diksha guru’s, such combined Vyas-pooja is celebrated there every year.
Devotees were happy & many expressed their happiness regarding getting to know so many things about H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaj in detail for the first time.
Gurumaharaj we humbly offer this small service at your lotus feet, & seek your blessings & blessings of all the vaishnavas for always remaining engaged in service of Guru & Gauranga.
Your humble servant,
Madhavi Gopi Dasi.
