All Glories to Gita Jayanti!
Have you celebrated Gita Jayanti? Have you read the Bhagvad Gita? In many temples, there were recited whole Bhagvad Gita.
Some days ago, in Udipi, 1 lakh of devotees get together and read Bhagvad Gita. Our Prime minister, Narender Modi was also present there. Bhagvad Gita’s Demand is everywhere.
God is full of six opulence. Knowledge is also an opulence. That knowledgeable God has narrated Bhagvad Gita. That Knowledgeable God is merciful also. That merciful incarnation is known as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Cc. Madhya 19.53:
namo mahā-vadānyāya
kṛṣṇa-prema-pradāya te
kṛṣṇāya kṛṣṇa-caitanya-
nāmne gaura-tviṣe namaḥ
Translation:
“O most munificent incarnation! You are Kṛṣṇa Himself appearing as Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu. You have assumed the golden color of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, and You are widely distributing pure love of Kṛṣṇa. We offer our respectful obeisances unto You.
He is encouraging all the world to read Srimad Bhagvatam, Srimad Bhagvad Gita and Chaitanya Charitamrita.
Cc. Madhya 7.128:
yāre dekha, tāre kaha ‘kṛṣṇa’-upadeśa
āmāra ājñāya guru hañā tāra’ ei deśa
Translation:
“Instruct everyone to follow the orders of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa as they are given in the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. In this way become a spiritual master and try to liberate everyone in this land.”
Sri Krishna has giving instruction 5000 years ago. Now he has appeared as sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and telling us to follow the instruction given by Lord Krishna.
BG 15.15:
sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo
mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca
vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham
Translation:
I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am the knower of the Vedas.
Sri Krishna is situated in our heart and so Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is also. As,
Vaishnav song, jaya jaya jagannātha sacīra nandan:
vāsudeva ghoṣa bole kori joḍa hāt
jei gaura sei kṛṣṇa sei jagannāth
Translation:
Vasudeva Ghosa says with folded hands, “He who is Gaura is He who is Krishna is He who is Jagannatha.”
Lord is situated in everyone’s hearts even in the heart of Mohammedans.
SB 1.3.28:
ete cāṁśa-kalāḥ puṁsaḥ
kṛṣṇas tu bhagavān svayam
indrāri-vyākulaṁ lokaṁ
mṛḍayanti yuge yuge
Translation:
All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is the original Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the theists.
But these people don’t know about God. They didn’t know about name, form, quality and pastimes of the lord. Lord is telling us that he is situated in everyone’s heart.
Everyone has a common Dharma.
Gītā-māhātmya 7:
ekaṁ śāstraṁ devakī-putra-gītam
eko devo devakī-putra eva
eko mantras tasya nāmāni yāni
karmāpy ekaṁ tasya devasya sevā
Translation:
There need be only one holy scripture - the divine Gita sung by Lord Sri Krishna, only one worshipable Lord - Lord Sri Krishna, only one mantra - His holy names, and only one duty - devotional service unto that Supreme worshipable Lord Sri Krishna.
We have made many faiths and religion. But there is only one Sanatana Dharma. If we can see, there is Chanting of the name of the lord is present in every religion. Mohammedans chant 99 names on their rosery, as they know only 99 names.
Truth always wins. The words of Srimad bhagvatam and Srimad Bhagvad Gita is all truthful.
BG. 4.2:
evaṁ paramparā-prāptam
imaṁ rājarṣayo viduḥ
sa kāleneha mahatā
yogo naṣṭaḥ paran-tapa
Translation:
This supreme science was thus received through the chain of disciplic succession, and the saintly kings understood it in that way. But in course of time the succession was broken, and therefore the science as it appears to be lost.
The knowledge is covered that’s why we need disciplic succession. Lord has given us four successions.
Padma Purāṇa:
sampradāya-vihīnā ye
mantrās te niṣphalā matāḥ
Translation:
“Unless you are initiated by a bona fide spiritual master in the disciplic succession, the mantra that you might have received is without any effect.
One can attain higher planets but we can’t get God without Bonafide spiritual master. There are some hindus also who doesn’t have faith in Bhagvad Gita. They only have faith in Vedas. They called themselves as ‘Arya’. They called them Hindus. That’s why Lord said,
BG. 18.66:
sarva-dharmān parityajya
mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja
ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo
mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ
Translation:
Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.
When I was returning from airport. I was at the immigration point. There is a complex to sell liquor everywhere in the immigration point. How shameless India becomes! Foreign has taught us this culture. There was a board also that saying we have a licenced shop and we have authorised liquor.
Srimad Bhagvad Gita has authorised knowledge. There is a warning also to become careful.
Padma Purāṇa:
sampradāya-vihīnā ye
mantrās te niṣphalā matāḥ
Translation:
“Unless you are initiated by a bona fide spiritual master in the disciplic succession, the mantra that you might have received is without any effect.
The words of Srimad Bhagvad Gita is imported as it is from Kurukshetra.
A lot of people are reading Bhagvad Gita. From them how many people become devotee?
BG 9.34:
man-manā bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru
mām evaiṣyasi yuktvaivam
ātmānaṁ mat-parāyaṇaḥ
Translation:
Engage your mind always in thinking of Me, become My devotee, offer obeisances to Me and worship Me. Being completely absorbed in Me, surely you will come to Me.
We have distributed more than 50 crore Bhagvad Gita in around 100 languages since BBT has established. People are becoming devotee by reading this.
BG 9.26:
patraṁ puṣpaṁ phalaṁ toyaṁ
yo me bhaktyā prayacchati
tad ahaṁ bhakty-upahṛtam
aśnāmi prayatātmanaḥ
Translation:
If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, I will accept it.
Lord has instructed us to offer these stuffs. But what is the use of reading Bhagvad Gita if one is taking flesh in their diet. Arjuna has listened Bhagvad Gita and get enlightened at the very moment when he admitted that he is week and feeling lost. He was asking for guidance.
BG 2.7:
kārpaṇya-doṣopahata-svabhāvaḥ
pṛcchāmi tvāṁ dharma-sammūḍha-cetāḥ
yac chreyaḥ syān niścitaṁ brūhi tan me
śiṣyas te ’haṁ śādhi māṁ tvāṁ prapannam
Translation:
Now I am confused about my duty and have lost all composure because of miserly weakness. In this condition I am asking You to tell me for certain what is best for me. Now I am Your disciple, and a soul surrendered unto You. Please instruct me.
He further added that I am accepting you as my spiritual master and becoming your disciple. We should also start with surrendering ourselves ion the lotus feet of Lord. Only than we can understand this divine knowledge.
Before hearing Bhagvad Gita, Arjuna was in illusion and after hearing the instructions, all of his doubts are cleared. And he is ready to do whatever Krishna has told him.
BG 18.73:
arjuna uvāca
naṣṭo mohaḥ smṛtir labdhā
tvat-prasādān mayācyuta
sthito ’smi gata-sandehaḥ
kariṣye vacanaṁ tava
Translation:
Arjuna said: My dear Kṛṣṇa, O infallible one, my illusion is now gone. I have regained my memory by Your mercy. I am now firm and free from doubt and am prepared to act according to Your instructions.
BG 8.7:
tasmāt sarveṣu kāleṣu
mām anusmara yudhya ca
mayy arpita-mano-buddhir
mām evaiṣyasy asaṁśayaḥ
Translation:
Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me in the form of Kṛṣṇa and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt.
Next year, in 2026, Iskcon will complete his 60 years. From 59 years, Iskcon is preaching everywhere. Many people ask that where is chanting prescribed in Bhagvad Gita.
BG 9.14:
satataṁ kīrtayanto māṁ
yatantaś ca dṛḍha-vratāḥ
namasyantaś ca māṁ bhaktyā
nitya-yuktā upāsate
Translation:
Always chanting My glories, endeavoring with great determination, bowing down before Me, these great souls perpetually worship Me with devotion.
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also told us the same thing.
The emotion of devotion is only one. There is not difference on the basis of countries or nations.
Cc. Madhya 22.107:
nitya-siddha kṛṣṇa-prema ‘sādhya’ kabhu naya
śravaṇādi-śuddha-citte karaye udaya
Translation:
Pure love for Kṛṣṇa is eternally established in the hearts of the living entities. It is not something to be gained from another source. When the heart is purified by hearing and chanting, this love naturally awakens.
When this love awakens, devotees are ready to do according to Lord’s will as Arjuna did.
BG. 18.66:
sarva-dharmān parityajya

mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ
Translation:
Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.
This is the real Dharma. Lord is not asking to leave only Christianity or muslin religion. Lord is also asking to leave this so-called Hindu religion.
Dharma is to surrender God. Muslin is who went to the shelter of the Lord.
Srimad Bhagvatam tells us about four types of Adharma in Kaliyuga. We have to leave them also.
ŚB 1.17.38:
sūta uvāca
abhyarthitas tadā tasmai
sthānāni kalaye dadau
dyūtaṁ pānaṁ striyaḥ sūnā
yatrādharmaś catur-vidhaḥ
Translation:
Sūta Gosvāmī said: Mahārāja Parīkṣit, thus being petitioned by the personality of Kali, gave him permission to reside in places where gambling, drinking, prostitution and animal slaughter were performed.
King Parikshit has assigned these places to Kaliyuga. We have to leave them.
BY reading Srimad BhagvadGita, Iskcon devotees are leaving these things around the world. They are resisting the temptations. They are searching for the association of devotees.
This Bhagvad Gita is blashing in the whole world. You should distribute Bhagvad gita as well as you should teach everybody about this.
CC, Madhya Lila, 7.128:

Translation:

BG. 4.8:
paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ
vināśāya ca duṣkṛtām
dharma-saṁsthāpanārthāya
sambhavāmi yuge yuge
Translation:
To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of religion, I Myself appear, millennium after millennium.
The world will be in peace. The real brotherhood will be established. There is war among Ukraine and Russia. But the devotees of both countries are in peace. The main reason behind these wars is meat eating. Some people are eating the meat of dog also and what not. Some are fighting in their home also and attacking with their tongue or vocal.
We have so many scriptures to read. By reading or studying the scriptures, the lifestyle and thinking will be improved. Prabhupada has also given us the facility to learn Bhagvad Gita through a learned person. He gave us a place where whole Iskcon family can reside and it is expanding day by day. As Lord’s room was expanding as many brahmas was coming. And there is another example of Srivas Angan. There will be no notice board of No Vacany in Iskcon. Everybody will be welcomed.
50 years ago, Prabhupada was in Kurukshetra these days to acquire the land for temple. The temple will be ready till next year.
