31 March 2020 Doctors' care and Devotees' Prayers Good Morning. Of course morning is there. We can't say good or bad. Nowadays there is a mixture. As we are in the material world it can't be all good. In Vaikuntha or in the Spiritual abode only, there can be all good. But there will always be something bad in this world. This world is like that only. Bad, bad, bad or mad, mad, mad. This is bad and getting worse because of Coronavirus. Some are predicting that the worst days are still to come. Some leaders, doctors, scientists and WHO people are saying that the peak time has not been seen by the world Be ready for that. Prepare yourself and do the homework so that it won't get as bad as they are predicting. This is called Damage Control. Damage will be there. It can't be avoided. Damage has already started. But we need to prepare ourselves and take the precaution and follow the do's and don'ts given by the doctor and behave ourselves like staying at home and not stepping outside. All such care is being taken by doctors. Doctors are instructing us to be beware of this or that and to be in quarantine. All of you are well acquainted with this. No work and stay at home. Follow this rules and regulations given by doctors. Apart from that, following this much will not make it. Along with doctors' care, we need devotees' prayers - especially Gaudiya Vaisnavas devotees’ prayers. Prayers are powerful. And in Gaudiya Vaisnavas’ prayers, there is special power because they chant Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna maha-mantra is a prayer and this prayer itself is the Lord. We are offering prayers to the Lord and this name is filled with all the potencies of the Lord. The Lord's name is complete with all energies and energetic also. The Lord is called Energetic. This Hare Krishna maha-mantra is shakti-yukta, means all potencies of the Lord are there. We need this also. Actually first we need prayers only. I was saying Doctors' care and Devotees' prayers. Devotees' Prayers are mandatory. All doctors are busy making all their attempts from all the knowledge they have gained. We are very thankful to all the doctors for the role that they are playing. But along with that we need to offer prayers. Some devotees are doctors and around the world there are so many doctor devotees. We may not be doctors but we are devotees of Gauranga Mahaprabhu and it becomes our duty to pray for everyones well being. What to say? krsne matih astu Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu used to give this blessing. mac-cittā mad-gata-prāṇā bodhayantaḥ parasparam kathayantaś ca māṁ nityaṁ tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca Translation: The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me. [BG 10.9] May your consciousness get absorbed in Krsna! Mahaprabhu blessed, prayed like that for all. We are also offering prayers, chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, making people hear kathas, feeding prasada. All this is a prayer and a solution as well. Doctor's care and Devotees’ Prayer. This is also prasada. When we call ourselves devotees then devotees are asked to prove themselves as devotees. What do devotees do? They do welfare or paropkar. bhārata-bhūmite haila manusya janma yara janma sarthaka kari kara para-upakāra Translation: One who has taken his birth as a human being in the land of India [Bhārata-varṣa] should make his life successful and work for the benefit of all other people. [CC Adi 9.41] Our Lord is Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Krsna had become Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu for us in the first evening of the age of Kali and He is our Lord. He is Karuna avatar. May His Karuna be all over world afflicted by Coronavirus! This is also a prayer. This is high thinking also as it for the benefit and welfare of the whole world. This is high thinking. sarve sukhina bhavantu sarve santu niramayaha _Sarvani bhadrani pashyantu Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet This is a Prayer. There are many feelings, words and emotions in prayers.We say Hare Krishna but there are many thoughts also. Sarve sukhina bhavantu means May the Lord keep everyone happy and healthy! Sarve santu niramahaya means please keep everyone free from all diseases. When we say this, a devotee who is in knowledge, understands that it is written in scriptures that one is vyadhi and another is adhi. Both are diseases. Vyadhi is those diseases which takes place in the body. In our scriptures, one more thing has been described which is more dangerous. Those are the mental disorders called adhi. Mentally ill. For that, there are mental hospitals. This adhi is more dangerous. There can be diseases in your subtle body including the mind. What is the prayer? May all become free from all diseases such as vyadhi and adhi! Going back to the blessings which Caitanya Mahaprabhu used to give. krsner matih astu May you engage your mind, intelligence, consciousness,heart and feelings in the Lord. You may offer such a prayer for the whole world. You may repeat the prayer made by the Lord. All the people in this world are ours and hence those who are making a discrimination such as these people are mine and these are others. These are men and these are women. All this is called laghucetasam which means low minded. These are low minded thoughts. A few minutes ago, we talked about high thinking sarve bhavantu sukhina. Sarve means let everyone be happy. Lord Krsna says, sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham Translation: I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am the knower of the Vedas. [BG 15.15] I'm seated in everyone's heart which may be Italian, American,Chinese. So may all become happy! This is the thinking of Vaisnavas. As they think like this they are beyond the three modes, duality, envy and hatred. yadṛcchā-lābha-santuṣṭo dvandvātīto vimatsaraḥ samaḥ siddhāv asiddhau ca kṛtvāpi na nibadhyate Translation: He who is satisfied with gain which comes of its own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady in both success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions.[BG 4.22] Devotees are beyond dvandva. Dvandva means duality such as mine or others.We don't understand. We all are one. This is dvandva-atitah. We are vasudhaiva kutumbakam means we are one but dividing it in parts that this is mine or others is another thing. And this laghucetasam means low minded. Sarve bhadrani pasyantu Our prayer is "May everyone's life or journey be auspicious!" Railways also say that "May your journey be auspicious". Life is also a journey. May that be auspicious! Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet means may no one suffer. One time there was an opening of a hospital by one of my doctor friends. At the time of inauguration, I said this prayer and explained that may everyone become free from diseases. M doctor friend said, "Maharaja what kind of prayer are you offering?" We are letting you cut this ribbon for inauguration. We need diseased people and if not then how will this hospital run? In this world there are people who are para dukhe sukhi like Bhaktivinoda Thakur says. There are people in this world who are happy in others miseries. In others miseries we become happy.Just like Mrigari who became happy seeing the distress of others. One siddha baba( perfectionist yogi) gave the blessing that however tall building you may want, may your desire get fulfilled! But your neighbour's home will be twice that of your home. This person's home was 1 then neighbour's 2. He prayed give me 2 floors and then his neighbour's got 4 floors. He prayed for 4 floors and his neighbours got 8 floors. Like that the neighbour was getting everything doubled. Now this person became unhappy seeing his neighbour’s happiness. This is para sukhe dukhi. He thought of making some plan to put his neighbour in distress. He prayed that he may become blind in one eye. The neighbour became blind with both eyes. Then he became happy. Now he is para dukhe sukhi . The whole world is filled with such kind of demoniac mentality. And this is low thinking. Low thinking v/s high thinking. "kalau śūdra sambhavah”[Skanda-Purana] In the Kali Yuga, everyone will be sudras. And this is the low thinking of the sudras. The world is filled with such people. All of you are devotees and representatives of Gauranga. You should have high thinking. You're devotees. You should not have this thinking of mine and others. Fill yourself with prayers. Yesterday I spoke about Dheeraj Agarwal Prabhu. The information was wrong. His son is fine. Keep on praying for Dheeraj Agarwal Pr's health. Devotees who were tested were found to be negative. Devotees from Boston are chanting with us.Stay busy 24 hours a day. Gaur Bhagavad Katha will be there as I had said. There will be katha between 5.30 to 6.30 pm in English and it will be telecasted live from tomorrow. Be ready for it. Please attend in huge numbers. Spread the word around and get ready. Кроме того, после этого многое сразу не получится. Наряду с заботой врачей нам нужны молитвы преданных. Особенно Гаудия Вайшнавы. В Гаудия Вайшнава Харе Кришна Махамантра - это молитва, а сама эта молитва - Сам Господь. Мы возносим молитвы Господу, и это имя полно всего могущества Господа. Имя Господа включает в себя все энергии, а также полно силы. В этом Харе Кришна Махамантре присутствуют все энергии Господа. Так что нам это тоже нужно. Сначала нам нужны молитвы. Я говорил о заботе врачей и молитвах преданных. Все врачи заняты и делают все попытки. Мы очень благодарны всем врачам за ту роль, которую они играют. Наряду с этим нам нужно совершать молитвы.
