Topic: Appearance Day of Gopal Bhatt Goswami
HH Lokanath Swami Maharaj:
Hare Krishna!
Welcome all of you, who join occasionally or who join daily. Today is the appearance day of Gopal Bhatta Goswami, who is one of the Shad Goswami Vrind. He established the Deities of Radha Raman. His Govardhan Shila became the deities of Radha Raman. In Srirangam, when
Gopala Bhatta Goswami was a child, he received the company of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu during Chaturmas. His entire family got company. He left Srirangam and reached Vrindavan. Prabodhananda Saraswati Thakur was his uncle and he was also a great Acharya. Gopal Bhatta
Goswami took initiation from his uncle.
HH Bhakti Ashraya Vaishnava Swami Maharaj:
Hare Krishna!
Today is the appearance day of Shril Gopal Bhatta Goswami and the disappearance day of Ram Chandra Kaviraj Goswami, who was a companion of Narottam Das Thakur. Today we will discuss about Gopal Bhatt Goswami.
Gopala Bhatta Goswami was born in 1503 century, in Srirangam, located on the banks of the Kaveri River in South India. His father, Sri Venkata Bhatt, was the chief priest of Sri Ranganatha. Venkata Bhatt’s brother was Parimal Bhatt, who later took sannyasa from the Sri Sampradaya
and later received initiation from the Gaudiya Sampradaya under the guidance of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and got the name, Prabodhananda Swami Maharaj. He started sung the pastimes of Braj in this form. Gopal Bhatta Goswami is also a disciple of Srila Prabodhananda Swami Maharaj. Both are followers of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Gopal Bhatta Goswami was one of the Ashta Manjaris in Shri Krishna pastimes. His name was Guna Manjari, who was sometimes also called Anang Manjari.
When he was seven years old, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu went on a trip to South India and reached Sri Rangam area. At that time, it was the full moon of Ashadhi. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu goes to see Shri Ranganath ji after taking bath in the Kaveri River. Nowadays, barricades have been installed in the temple, but this was not the case 500 years ago.
Thousands of visitors had come to the courtyard of the temple. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, seeing Sri Ranganatha, performed kirtan and dance in the courtyard of the temple. Instead of seeing Shri Ranganath, all the visitors started seeing Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Seeing him, all those people felt that God himself was dancing. The temple priest, Sri Venkata Bhatt was also watching Chaitanya Mahaprabhu while performing the aarti. Seeing him dancing like this, the name of Hari was coming out of the mouth of all the visitors. This is the influence of Lord. Shri Venkat Bhatt also came after the Aarti and he also started looking at him. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu bowed to Shri Ranganatha after the Aarti. While going back home, everyone was thinking that no ordinary person can do such kirtan and dance.
Shri Venkat Bhatt greeted him and started inviting him to come to his house. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepted his invitation and went to his house as a guest. Venkat Bhatt became so happy and started giving him a special welcome in his house. Gopal Bhatt, who was seven years old at this time, was the first to see Mahaprabhu. He almost fainted after seeing him. When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu touched his forehead with his lotus feet, he stood up. He kept looking at Mahaprabhu. He started wondering why God is making me see him in this sannyasa form. I want to see you in the form of Navdeep’s Nimai. Only Gopal Bhatt saw his Nimai form. Then he became convinced that this was his Ranganath. They started serving him. On that day, after the Prasad, Venkat Bhatt requested Chaitanya Mahaprabhu that if Chaitanya Mahaprabhu would not travel anywhere in Chaturmas, then he should stay at his house.
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepted his request and stayed in Venkat Bhatta’s house for four months. Lord stayed for four months and started teaching devotion to seven years old boy, Gopal Bhatt. He used to call the child Gopal affectionately and teach him and used to give him Prasad from his plate. He used to provide his company and service to Gopal Bhatt. Gopal Bhatt lived with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the same way as a shadow, lives with the body. He would sleep with them, go to bathe in the Kaveri River, fetch water for them and bring them prasad. Every day, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu used to take food only once a day after having darshan of Shri Ranganath and used to recite Krishna Katha in the afternoon. Lord himself was narrating all the stories and the listeners were Gopal and his family members. Gradually everyone in the village also started coming to listen to the pastimes. Hearing his katha, Srila Prabodhananda Swami, who was a Sanyasi of Sri Sampradaya, had a change of mind. He left Narayan worship and started worshiping Radha Krishna. Radha Krishna was actually Gauranga Mahaprabhu.
Śrī Guru-paramparā 6:
mahāprabhu śrī caitanya, rādhā-kṛṣṇa nahe anya,
rūpānuga-janera jīvana
viśvambhara-priyaṅkara, śrī svarūpa-dāmodara,
śrī gosvāmī rūpa, sanātana
Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, who is Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa combined, is the very life of the rūpānuga Vaiṣṇavas (those who follow Śrī Rūpa Gosvāmī). Śrī Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī, Śrī Rūpa, and Śrī Sanātana Gosvāmīs were the dearmost servants of Lord Viśvambhara (Śrī Caitanya).
At this time Mahaprabhu provided his personal company to Gopal. After four months, when Mahaprabhu left, everyone started crying a lot. Mahaprabhu had to go. But Gopal Bhatt said that he would not be able to live without Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
consoled him and ordered him to stay at home and serve his parents and said that Gopal should come to Vrindavan after the death of his parents. But Gopal does not have to marry. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu trained two celibates: Gopal Bhatt and Raghunath Bhatt. Both were ordered to stay at home and serve their parents and not to marry.
Gopal Bhatt Goswami lived with his parents for about twenty years and after the death of his parents, he went straight to Vrindavan. His uncle Prabodhnand Swami had already come to Vrindavan. Gopal Bhatt was educated in many scriptures from his uncle. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was in Puri when Gopal Bhatt came to Vrindavan. Gopal Bhatt met Roop and Sanatan Goswami in Vrindavan. Coming from a trip to South India, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had praised Gopal Bhatt a lot with Roop and Sanatan Goswami. But Roop and Sanatan Goswami had seen Gopal Bhatt for the first time. They honoured Gopal Bhatt very much and said that Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has told us a lot about him. Gopal Bhatta Goswami was anxious to meet Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and was crying. A letter was sent to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Puri that Gopal Bhatt has come to Vrindavan to meet you. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was very pleased after receiving the letter and wrote a letter in response to it and sent a Kopin and Asana for him and thus he appointed Gopal Bhatt as an Acharya.
Roop and Sanatan Goswami told Gopal Bhatta Goswami that Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has sent blessings for you, now you stay here and serve him. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had ordered for group of Goswami to read the Bhakti scriptures, propagate devotion, do Deity worship etc.
Gopal Bhatt got engaged in all these services but he was very sad in his mind that whether he would not be able to see his worshiped Lord in his life.
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu ordered him that he would not be able to have darshan of him in this form. He ordered them to go to the banks of river Ganduki and take bath, there you will find me in the form of a rock and I will appear to you in the same rock. After receiving Lord’s order, Gopal Bhatt Goswami set out on a journey to Nepal on foot.
On the way, he stopped at a Brahmin’s house in Devmandya village. That Brahmin couple had no children. He requested Gopal Bhatta Goswami that if they had a child, they would dedicate it to his service. By the grace of Gopal Bhatt Goswami, he got a son whose name was first Damodar and later he got the name Gopinath. He was a grihastha and his descendants still serve Radha Raman.
Shri Gopal Bhatt Goswami reached Ganduki river and took bath in Damodar Kund and Shaligram stone came in his hand. They released him back into the water. But again, and again a stone would come into his hand. Therefore, understanding the will of Lord, he kept the stone with him. In this way he got twelve stones.
He brought these stones to Vrindavan and started serving them. We know that Rupa Goswami, Sanatan Goswami etc. all had their own worshiped deities, Madan Mohan, Gopinath. Loknath Goswami’s deities was Radha Vinodilal, Jiva Goswami’s deities was Radha Damodar. In this way all the Goswami had their own dedicated deities. But Gopal Bhatt Goswami had Shaligram stones, he used to serve them only.
Gopal Bhatt Goswami was a very great Brahmin, he also edited the book Hari Bhakti Vilas of Sanatan Goswami. He also wrote a commentary on Jiva Goswami’s Krishna Karnamrit, Shadasandarbha. He was the spiritual master of Srinivas Acharya, who has written Shad Goswami Ashtakam. He had given initiation to very high ranking Vaishnavas. He was a very good speaker and many people used to come from nearby areas to listen to his story.
Once when it was the day of Vaishakh Chaturdashi, it was the day of Narasimha Chaturdashi, some devotees came from Punjab. Those devotees had visited all the temples of Goswami in Vrindavan and they used to donate a lot of ornaments. He was very happy to hear the katha and he also gave ornaments and clothes etc. to Gopal Bhatt Goswami. Gopal Bhatt Goswami started thinking that everyone else has deities, they can decorate them etc., but I only have Shila, how will I decorate them. But those devotees started forcing Gopal Bhatt Goswami to take all the clothes and ornaments. On the day of Narasimha Chaturdashi, Gopal Bhatt Goswami was narrating Katha after fasting till evening. After the katha, all the devotees took leave and went away. After the Shayan Aarti, Gopal Bhatt Goswami started thinking about how great a devotee Prahlad Maharaj was, for him Lord Narasimha had appeared from the pillar. But how unfortunate I am that Lord does not appear even from these Shaligram rocks. He cursed himself and went to sleep at night. But Lord had already heard his prayer. In the morning, when Gopal Bhatt Goswami returned after taking bath in Yamuna and started lighting the lamp in the temple, he saw that the Damodar rock had opened from the middle and the beautiful deities of Radha Raman had emerged from it. This is the glory of devotion of Gopal Bhatta Goswami. Seeing their devotion, Lord himself tore the Shaligram stone and appeared in the form of a deities. Even today we can see this idol in Vrindavan.
After this incident, the glory of devotion of Gopal Bhatta Goswami spread throughout Vrindavan. Gopal Bhatta Goswami told all this incident to Rupa Goswami and Sanatan Goswami etc. and asked them to name and install those deities. Sanatan Goswami said that this is Radha Raman. He is inseparable from Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and has incarnated himself in the form of deities on your prayer. After that Gopal Bhatt Goswami himself started serving him. After his departure, his disciple Damodar started serving him.
Gopala Bhatta Goswami had visited Ganduki River only once, apart from this he had never left Vrindavan. Srinivas Acharya has written in Shad Goswami Ashtak.

dancing. They are just like the ocean of love of God, and they are popular both with the gentle and with the ruffians, because they are not envious of anyone. Whatever they do, they are allpleasing to everyone, and they are fully blessed by Lord Caitanya. Thus they are engaged in missionary activities meant to deliver all the conditioned souls in the material universe.

Translation:
I offer my respectful obeisances unto the six Gosvamis, namely Sri Rupa Gosvami, Sri Sanatana Gosvami, Sri Raghunatha Bhatta Gosvami, Sri Raghunatha dasa Gosvami, Sri Jiva Gosvami, and Sri Gopala Bhatta Gosvami, who are very expert in scrutinizingly studying all the revealed
scriptures with the aim of establishing eternal religious principles for the benefit of all human beings. Thus they are honored all over the three worlds and they are worth taking shelter of because they are absorbed in the mood of the gopis and are engaged in the transcendental
loving service of Radha and Krsna.
Gopal Bhatt Goswami wrote devotional texts and revealed the Dham. Because he was a Brahmin, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu authorized him to give initiation. Rupa Goswami did not accept any disciples. Sanatana Goswami accepted Jiva Goswami because he was his nephew, apart from him he did not accept any disciples. In the Gaudiya Vaishnav sect, the lineage started moving forward from the disciples of Raghunath Bhatt and Gopala Bhatt.
Sanatana Goswami composed Hari Bhakti Vilas. It is because of the devotion of Gopal Bhatt Goswami that even today we are able to see the deities of Radha Raman. This was the result of his devotion and prayers. The rest of the deities are carved but these deities themselves were incarnated. Gopal Bhatt Goswami propagated and spread Braj Bhakti. He initiated many devotees into the Gaudiya tradition. He entered the spiritual world after doing his patimes for 75 years. His samadhi is in the Radha Raman temple in Vrindavan. He is Lord’s personal councilors and servants. Wherever we are sitting today, we will pay homage at his feet, “O Srila Gopala Bhatta Goswami! the devotion you had towards your Spiritual master Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the devotion you had in your devotion that shila broke itself and obtained deities, the knowledge you had of scriptures, the way you conducted yourself, the way you preached, that we can never think even in our dreams because we are very sinful. But if by your grace we can attain even one millionth part of your great qualities and influence, then this life will be successful.”
All Glories to Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami Pada!
It is the disappearance day of Sri Ram Chandra Kaviraj. Shri Ram Chandra Kaviraj was also
Manjari in Lord’s pastimes. He appeared in Bengal and was the son of Chiranjeev Sen. He had
received initiation from Srinivas Acharya. He was such a high-ranking devotee that Narottam
Das Thakura prays to him in his hymns.

I pray for the company of Ram Chandra Kaviraj. Narottam Das Thakur is such an Acharya who
was named by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu even before his birth. For whom he treasured his true
love for Lord.

On today’s special day, we will pay our respects and pay our obeisance at his lotus feet so that
we can receive devotional service.

If Chaitanya Mahaprabhu would have not appeared then who would told us about the Gaudiya Vaishnavism and the nectarian flow of the holynames?

Gaur Nitai have cut down thisloving mellows in which we are drowned, so we should consider ourselves very fortunate. The holynames which we are chanting is the mercy of Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Who would have given this love to us?So it is GauranagaMahaprabhu who can us the access to holyname. So our Goswamis also worked very hard to distribute this prema.

When will ŚrīlaRūpaGosvāmīPrabhupāda, who has established within this material world the mission to fulfill the desire of Lord Caitanya, give me shelter under his lotus feet?
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s inner desires were known by Rupa and Santana Goswamis. Rupa Goswami is the leading Goswami in Vrindavan. Many other goswamis also assisted him and one of them is Srila Gopal Bhatt Goswami. Tomorrow is his appearance day and Sri Rama Chandra Goswami’s disappearance day is also tomorrow. How to speak the glories of such Vaishnavas in such a short span of time? He is great acharya for whom the Lord appeared himself from a stone. I remember the story of Narada Muni when he was four years old and he served the sadhus with his mother and gained Krsna prem in Chaturmaas. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu first went to Puri and then he reachedto Sri Rangam just a day before Chaturmaas. The Ranganath deity is present there. This Deity was given to Brahma ji by Lord himself. Brahama ji is the first disciple and acharya of our Parampara. He has a desire to worship the Visnu deity which he saw in Vaikuntha. In South India Lord is worshipped in a sleeping state. Visnu’s devotees are Vaishnaas, we are Gaudiya Vaishnavas or Karshinaye Dasya bhakti is given more importance in South India. Our acharyas are also from Sri Sampradaya. This deity was worshipped by Brahma ji himself. Then Brahma ji gave this deity in the dynasty of Rama ji. It was also worshipped by Sri Rama himself This deity was worshipped in Ayodhya. So when Vibhishana came with Sri Rama to Ayodhya he was attracted to this deity and he wanted to take them with him.Ram ji was thankful to everyone for their contribution in conquering Lanka and for that he was rewarding everyone. Everyone returned to forest but Hanuman ji decided to stay with Sri Rama. He is always ready to serve Lord. SoHanuman ji wanted to two things which was the two Charan padukas. He is always sitting in the feet of Lord Rama. Vibhishan wanted this deity as gift from Sri Rama and I will worship them.So Ram ji thought that is the deity of Brahma ji, how can it go to Lanka which was once ruled by a demon?SoSri Rama said this deity will stay whereever it stops. So Vibhishan stopped at the basin of Kaveri river for bathing. Then an island was formed there and he placed the deity there. After this, when Vibhishan wanted to carry them to Lanka after bathing, then the deity stayed there and didn’t move. So, after this pastime, Vibhishan used to come daily to serve him. The deities said that you will have my darshans from Lankaitself as he was very old that’s why this temple is so special as it is facing south which is not usually the norm. This is very interesting as it is against Vastu shastra. But Lord can do anything for his devotees.
“Ahimsa Paramo Dharma”
Killing of animals and non-violence is the highest dharma. But in Bhagavad Gita Krsna asks Arjun to fight. So whatever Lord says we have to follow that. The Lord wanted to give his darshans to Vibhishan and I can give my blessings to him.So the worshippers of this pure deity were Sri Venkata Bhatt, Sundar Bhatt and Tirumala Bhatt. One of their sons was Gopal Bhatt Goswami. When ChaitanyaMahaprabhu saw this deity he started dancing. He has golden complexion and in south everyone is of dark complexion and everyone was amazed to see him. He chanted:
hare krsna hare krsna, krsnakrsna hare hare
harerama hare rama, ramarama hare hare.
I remember that when Guru Maharaj wasin Meenakshi Madurai temple, that everything is wonderful here except that there is no HarinaamSankirtan. So, last year in Chennai kirtan mela, I got association of Guru Maharaj. But Guru Maharaj said that know I am happy and communicated the same to all the devotees. Usually in south, deity worship is the most important kind of Navada bhakti. But by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s and Srila Prabhupada’s mercyGaudiyaVaishanasare increasing so kirtan is also expanding. So Chaitanya Mahaprabhuwas dancing and at that timeaarati was going on. So, Venkat Bhatt, the head pujari also came to see him. Sometimes he would see the Lord and sometimes he would perform the aarati. When it got over,he thought that the Lord has appeared himself. Then he invited him to his house and offered his obesiances. Then Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came to his home. His wife washed Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s feet and his Charanamrita was distributed to all. A small boy drank this and became of golden complexion. Earlier he was of dark complexion. Venkata Bhatt said that since you a Sannayasi, you should stay at one place for Chaturmaas as travelling is prohibited for you. This will be our great fortune. Just like Narada Muni, GopalBhatt Goswami also got the benediction of the Lord. He appeared in 1503. He was twelve years old and he got the mercy of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He was always there with Lord. His uncle wasPrabhlanand Saraswati. He made him studied various shastras. He had a great association of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. And both Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Gopal Bhatt loved each other. There is no such strict timings of school of kids at that time. In south giving name of Gopal is difficultbecause usually Vishnu is worshipped over here. You can read this in Chaitanya Charitamrita. In Vraj Mandal Parikrama whenBelvan comes where Laxmiji stays and meditates upon the Lord which is difficult to understand as she is the worshipper of Lord Visnu, still she wants to attain Krsna. Then Guru Maharaj and HH Radha Raman Maharaj tells about the story of Venkat Bhatt of why is he meditating on Lord. When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu left after four months and he fainted. Then Chaitanya Mahaprabhu lifted him and said that he will see him again in Vrindavan soon. He said – “You worship your parents. After they leave their bodies, then you come to Vrindavan”. So after he reached Vrindavan, Rupa Goswami sent a letter to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in which he told that GopalBhatt Goswami came. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu became very happy to hear this and said that you will get my deity form soon. He gave his thread, kopin and his angavastra to him and gave him a seat to perform kirtan. It is shown in Vrindavan in Radha Raman temple sometimes. Gopal Bhatt Goswami worshipped Chaitanya Mahaprabhu as he was from a Brahman Family. He was respected by every Vaishnava. When Rupa Goswami was writing Hari Bhakti Vilas, the glories of deity worship is described nicely. It is of very high standard. Then for served for many years. Once on his way to Haridwar, he stopped atSaharanpur and went to have prasadam over there. The family didn’t have a son who was serving them. He blessed them with a son. The family told him that the son which will born will be always engaged in his service. Then he went to Haridwar and finally reached to Gangadi river and he found Shaligram who accepted his Tulasi. To have Tulasi, Lord comesto the surface. He got twelve Shaligram shilas there. He tied them around his neck and worshipped him all life long. On NrishmaChatudashi, one merchant came and he was giving dresses for deities. Gopal Bhatt Goswami was very unhappy and said that you appeared from pillar for Prahalad but I have nothing to offerto you as you are in this Shaligram form. SoSri Radha Raman Lal appeared in the morning from those shilas. From Shaligram in Gandagi river Radha raman appeared.

ŚrīKṛṣṇa is the intimate friend of Arjuna. He has appeared on this earth in His transcendental body, which resembles the bluish color of the tamāla tree. His body attracts everyone in the three planetary systems [upper, middle and lower]. May His glittering yellow dress and His lotus face, covered with paintings of sandalwood pulp, be the object of my attraction, and may I not desire fruitive results.
His chest is like Govind ji , his lotus feet is like Madan Mohan ji and his face his like Gopinath ji. He is the only deity pf Vrindavan and he is very beautiful. Gopal Bhatt Goswami named him as Radha Raman as Radharani’s deity was not there. So this news spread in Vraja like a wildfire and many devotees come to take his darshans everyday. Then one day that son who appeared in Saharanpur came and was asked to meet Gopal Bhatt Goswami. Then when he saw him and asked- “From where did you come?” Then he told that I am from the same brahaman family which he blessed. Then Gopal Bhatt Goswami gave him the service of worshipping Radha Raman. So, by Gopal Bhatt Goswami’s mercy we are getting the darshans of Radha raman. From Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s mercy we got Gopal Bhatt Goswami and from his mercy we got Radha Raman ji. So this our fortune that we are able to hear this pastimes in Zoom mandir.
Rama Chandra goswami’s disappearance is tomorrow. In Bhakti Ratnakar 1/267-69 shloka it is written:
खण्डवासी चिरंजीव सेन एक हय ।

The residents of Srikhandwhich nearKatwa. Chiranjeev Seth has two sons: Govind Kaviraj and Sri Rama Chandra Kaviraj. Rama Chandra was a very poetic person. He has a son and brother.
Bhajahu re mann song was written by the younger brother Govind Kaviraj. He was a Devi Bhakt from his childhood and then he became a great Vaishnava later on because of his elder brother. In the Narottama Das Thakur’s song it is said- Ram chandrasanga mange, Narottama Das. Kaviraj was disciple of Srinivas Acharya. He is Karuna Manjiri. In Katwa, still the samadhi of Srinivas Acharya is there and a railway line passes nearby. Once after his marriage he was going in a palanquin. Srinivas Acharya was doing Bhagavad Katha nearby. Srinivas Acharya then passed a comment:
See how much they are excited for wedding! And after spending money they will be inviting fights. I am not saying this. Srinivas Acharya is saying this. This is like they are getting trapped in Maya. But they don’t know this is not a good thing. Srinivas Acharya was saying these things to his disciples. Then Rama Chandra Kaviraj heard this and feel at this feet. When Jiva Goswami heard Rama Chandra Kaviraj’s song, he appreciated it. He gave him the title of Kaviraj. Narottama das thakur respects him a lot. That’s why we sing- Rama Chandra Sanga Mange Narottama Das.
Rama Chandra das saw a pandit Rupanarayan who was Digvijayi and he went to defeat Narottama das thakur. In Kumarpur market he was selling mud pots and paan. When his disciples came, the disciples of Rupa Narayana and Rama Chandra Kaviraj bargained in Sanskrit. Rupa Narayan’s disciples gave a report about it to him and then he cameto know that he is Narottama das thakur’s beloved. Rama Chandra Kaviraj was great poet indeed.
Please forgive me for my offenses. We don’t know the exact figure but our Padayatra distributed 25,000 Bhagavad Gita were distributed and in Utkal banga 22,000 Bhagavad Gitas were distributed. In Maharastra padayatra by HG Damodar Lila prabhu distributed 10,000 Bhagavad Gitas. shastra prabhu distributed 5000 Bhagavad Gitas and UP padayatra also did the same and Tamil padayatra also did the same. This is our work! Jay Sri Rama. In every home there should be Bhagavad Gita and holynames. I am grateful to all of you for kind support.
We will end the session now. HG Jayabhadramataji will share the report later on this later on.

Prabhu ji Recites Prayers and pays obesciences to Gur Maharaja and all devotees.
Main Theme: Thoughts of Pure Devotee
Today we will discuss the personality and thoughts of Shrila Bhakti Siddhant Saraswati Thakura Prabhupada. And from this we would like to understand the thoughts of a pure devotees.
Sub Theme: Difference between self-realised soul and material person
He says aself-realised soul thinks himself to be different from the material body. He says, until now I was thinking Me and you are the same. But there is a difference. You are made of the material elements. You are controlled by the three modes of material nature, and you are affected by it. But three modes of material nature have no control on me. You grow and deteriorate with the three modes of material nature and by such changes I feel disappointed. I feel your different stages are my changes, and I feel your benefits are my benefits. And I feel pleased. It is only by the higher arrangement that we are clubbed together. And that is the reason that we have to stay together. But from now on I will not try to please you anymore.
I would just do the needful to maintain you. I want to be free of these clutches of illusion. I refused to serve the senses and modes of material nature any longer. As it was questioned by Arujuna to Krishna. How does a self-realised person act

Translation
Arjuna said: O Kṛṣṇa, what are the symptoms of one whose consciousness is thus merged in transcendence? How does he speak, and what is his language? How does he sit, and how does he walk?[BG 2.54]
Srila Prabhupada says make best use of best Bargain. But from today I will not make any attempt to make you happy (both Body and soul). I will just ensure physically I am fine which is basis necessity.
So, Shrila Bhakti Siddhant Saraswati Thakura is representing that. First step is to talk with the body. Shrila Bhakti Siddhant Saraswati Thakura Prabhupada speaks unless a spiritual master brings themselves over to the stage of Sambandha Gyan till that one cannot chant properly. We need to learn mind and sense control and then get over the stage of material conception of life.
Unless the senses of a person is not completely engaged in the service of Krishna
He cannot get over the bodily concept of life. As a person comes to Krishna consciousness, he advances to the stage of Mode of Goodness. And then gradually they come to the stage of Pure Goodness and that stage is when you are free.
Now when we honour Prasadam, we say Today I enjoyed the Prasadam to my full satisfaction. But a self-realised person speaks today I fed Prasadam to this body.
As a person puts petrol in his car. This body is just like a car, so the most important aspect is to get over the misconceptions.
For example, before taking part in Pran Pratisthan ceremony, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji fasted for 11 days. Just was taking coconut water. This is almost an impossible task for conditioned souls like us. We need to dovetail all our activities to the Krishna consciousness activities. Then only we can really become Krishna consciousness
Our current position is that we have just decorated ourselves as devotees superficially. It has nothing to do with our consciousness. Shrila Prabhupada rightly says, Advancement in Krishna consciousness completely depends on the attitude of a devotee. One has to become a perfect Goswami. Krishna told Arjuna to think about him while fighting.
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said
trinadapisunicena
tarorapisahishnuna
amaninamanadena
kirtaniyahsadaharihi
Translation
One should chant the holy name of the Lord in a humble state of mind, thinking oneself lower than the straw in the street; one should be more tolerant than a tree, devoid of all sense of false prestige, and should be ready to offer all respect to others. In such a state of mind one can chant the holy name of the Lord constantly.
[Sri Shistatkam Text 3]
When we will be situated in this position then only we can realise. We have to be situated in this consciousness every time during the day. Just saying this once a day is not enough. We need always remember that I am a spirit soul, and my size is just 10000th part of the tip of hair. Guru Maharaj repeatedly says, there are two categories, Entertainment (Manoranjan) and Bathing of the soul (Atma Ranjan).
Our Faith must increase as we execute devotion service. We should have our own experience. Then only we will advance in Krishna consciousness. In Bodily concepts of like, we are 100%body conscious That is why we are completely absorbed in “Me and Mine “. As soon as we see some good fruit by the road side. We would think let me offer this to Krishna as formality and the eat it
But we should genuinely desire to offer it to Krishna for his pleasure that is wanted. We should become a part time devotee by wearing a 2000 rupees kit. We should plan our day in such a way meditating how can I design my lifestyle that I could attain perfection in this life itself
When we are genuine only then we can become eligible to go back home back to Godhead. We should be free from sense gratification and entertainment. We need to read this conversation of Shrila Bhakri Sidhanta Saraswati Thakura Prabhupada every day. We will share this on Lok Sanga Group
From there you can take a print out and get it framed. And most important is to read it twice every day. We must understand that I am a spiritual soul. And I have no connection with this material body
This body is dead. And a dead matter cannot please a spiritual personality. We can only experience real pleasure by service Sri Krishna. Ask yourself, Is it good to be the servant of the senses or is it good to be the master of the senses. As we meditate in this gradually through this meditation, our consciousness will get purified.
Question and Answer Session
Sometimes we get a doubt, as we live in a society, we have many social responsibilities. For example, if I have a business and I am unable to clear debts then, people may think, what sort of devotee he is?He is practicing devotional services but he is trying to cheat with us.
Response:
Shrila Prabhupada says, A devotee should be a perfect gentleman in every situation. We know Srila Raghunath Das Gowami, asked his uncle to pay taxes who were trying to miss that.
HG Devadatta Prabhu speaks:
Question: We really like your lectures, also try to practice the same for 2 -3 days. But cannotmanage to stick regularly to this. What should we do?
Response:
We must prioritise some important aspects and work on that on regular basis.
Shrila Bhakti Siddhant Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada speaks, one should stick to a book and then absorb it completely in one’s life then only he should move over to next one.
Question: How to keep the enthusiasm and get going.
Response:
For improving in bhakti, desire to be in devotion at the lotus feet of lord and take devotee association, will improve enthusiasm
We thank HG Sachidanand Prabhu for this inspiring talk
Please continue to bless us in future

Chanting the holy name
Speaker: HH Sundara Chaitanya Goswami Maharaj
Hare Krsna. I would like to thanks HG Padmamali Prabhu for inviting me to give the japa talk today. In Narad puran, this is the truth.
satyam satyam punā, satyaṃ satyaṃ iva punā punā,
vinā rādhiko prasāde, mata prasādo na vidyate (Nārada Purāṇa)
Translation: Shri Krsna says: O Narada! I tell you truly truly, again truly, truly, again and again – without the mercy of “Radharani”, one cannot attain my mercy.
Without the mercy of Radharani, we cannot get the mercy of Sri Krsna. It is said three times here, punah punah, again and again. And Sri Krsna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is Krsna himself but he is in mood of Radharani. So Radharani is more merciful.
Once in Vrindavan, Krsna was distributing prasada. He said, those devotees who brought the plate can only get the prasadam and others won’t. Like Iskcon devotees, they distribute prasadam with plates. Srimati Radharani was not happy about Krsna not giving prasadam to everyone and she complaint to her father Vrishabhanu and then he complaint to Nanda Maharaj that why Krsna is not giving prasadam to everyone.
And then after Nanda Maharaj questioned Krsna, he replied, how is it possible to give them prasadam if they cannot bring the plates. They have to bring the plates to get prasadam. So then Srimati Radharani decided when I will descend to the planet earth, I’ll distribute prasadam without differentiating in caste, creed and color. So that is Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the mood of Radharani.
pātrāpātra-vicāra nāhi, nāhi sthānāsthāna
yei yāṅhā pāya, tāṅhā kare prema-dāna (CC Adi 7.23)
Translation: In distributing love of Godhead, Caitanya Mahāprabhu and His associates did not consider who was a fit candidate and who was not, nor where such distribution should or should not take place. They made no conditions. Wherever they got the opportunity, the members of the Pañca-tattva distributed love of Godhead.
Although qualified or not, Mahaprabhu is distributing this holy name prasadam to everyone. So real beggar is Mahaprabhu and the devotee is the same. He is begging, please chant the holy name. Nitynanada prabhu would go door to door and say,
nadiya-godrume nityananda mahajana 2
sraddhaban jana he sraddhaban jana he)
prabhura ajnaya bhai magi ei bhikha
bolo krishna bhajo krishna koro krishna-sikha
Translation: (O faithful people, O faithful people,) O my brothers, by the Lord’s command I ask this charity of you: Please chant, Krishna!, worship Krishna, and learn and teach about Krishna.
This is explained by Bhaktivinoda thakur as sambandha gyan, pyayojana gyan. This is the wealth. To cry while remembering the names of the Lord, this is Dhan. Because when Mayavadis were asking Chaitanya Mahaprabhu why are you doing this, always chanting the names of Krsna then he asked his Gurudev,
kibā mantra dilā, gosāñi, kibā tāra bala
japite japite mantra karila pāgala (CC Adi 7.81)
Translation: My dear lord, what kind of mantra have you given Me? I have become mad simply by chanting this mahā-mantra!
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said, I have become mad by chanting Krsna naam. This mantra is making me laughing, crying and dancing.
hāsāya, nācāya, more karāya krandana
eta śuni’ guru hāsi balilā vacana (CC Adi 7.82)
Translation: Chanting the holy name in ecstasy causes Me to dance, laugh and cry. When My spiritual master heard all this, he smiled and then began to speak.
His Gurudev said that this is the power of Krsna mantra.
nāca, gāo, bhakta-saṅge kara saṅkīrtana
kṛṣṇa-nāma upadeśi’ tāra’ sarva-jana (CC Adi 7.92)
Translation: My dear child, continue dancing, chanting and performing saṅkīrtana in association with devotees. Furthermore, go out and preach the value of chanting kṛṣṇa-nāma, for by this process You will be able to deliver all fallen souls.
tasmāt saṅkīrtanaṁ viṣṇor
jagan-maṅgalam aṁhasām
mahatām api kauravya
viddhy aikāntika-niṣkṛtam (SB 6.3.31)
Translation: Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued: My dear King, the chanting of the holy name of the Lord is able to uproot even the reactions of the greatest sins. Therefore the chanting of the saṅkīrtana movement is the most auspicious activity in the entire universe. Please try to understand this so that others will take it seriously.
kali-kālera dharma — kṛṣṇa-nāma-saṅkīrtana
kṛṣṇa-śakti vinā nahe tāra pravartana (CC Antya 7.11)
Translation: The fundamental religious system in the Age of Kali is the chanting of the holy name of Kṛṣṇa. Unless empowered by Kṛṣṇa, one cannot propagate the saṅkīrtana movement.
Yuga dharma of Kaliyuga is Naam Sankirtana – The congregational chanting of the holy names. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came here to distribute Krsna prema prasada without differentiating in anyone. So once Srila Haridas thakur was having discussion regarding the holy name. A Brahman said the goal of chanting is to be freed from the miseries of life and get liberation. So Haridas thakur said the goal of chanting the holy name is only Krsna prema, not to get liberation.
Krsna prema is like an ocean. But to get liberated is like a drop of that ocean. Its explained that in our Krsna Consciousness movement, like worshiping Laxmi Narayan takes you to Vaikuntha but we can’t go to Goloka Vrindavan so after performing sadhna bhakti in dasya bhava, is it possible to go to Goloka dham while performing devotional service? –Those who are performing in other moods like sakhya bhava or madhurya bhava do attain Goloka Vrindavan. But how will we get because we are in dasya bhava.
Yes it is possible because,
nāma cintāmaṇiḥ kṛṣṇaś
caitanya-rasa-vigrahaḥ
pūrṇaḥ śuddho nitya-mukto
’bhinnatvān nāma-nāminoḥ (CC Madhya 17.133)
Translation: The holy name of Kṛṣṇa is transcendentally blissful. It bestows all spiritual benedictions, for it is Kṛṣṇa Himself, the reservoir of all pleasure. Kṛṣṇa’s name is complete, and it is the form of all transcendental mellows. It is not a material name under any condition, and it is no less powerful than Kṛṣṇa Himself. Since Kṛṣṇa’s name is not contaminated by the material qualities, there is no question of its being involved with māyā. Kṛṣṇa’s name is always liberated and spiritual; it is never conditioned by the laws of material nature. This is because the name of Kṛṣṇa and Kṛṣṇa Himself are identical.
All the rasa’s and bhava’s are included in the holy name of the Lord. So we don’t need to perform sadhna bhakti in any other bhava because all these are included in the chanting of the holy name of the Lord.
Although there is no difference between naam and naami (Krsna and his name) still, there is a difference in naam and nami. Naam is more powerful because ‘Hari se bada Hari ka naam’. We find a story, that once Krsna is being kidnapped by Putana and when he killed Putana, then Krsna went to his home and his parents were bathing and purifying him and they were chanting the Lord’s name. Here is the Supreme personality of Godhead present personally, who purifies everything and he is getting purified by his name. A person by hearing about the Lord becomes purified.
Om Apavitrah Pavitro Vaa Sarva-Avasthaam Gato-Api Vaa
Yah Smaret-Punnddariikaakssam Sa Baahya-Abhyantarah Shucih
Translation: Om, if one is Apavitra (Impure) or Pavitra (Pure), or even in all other conditions. He who remembers Pundarikaksha (Another name of Sri Vishnu, literally meaning with Lotus-like Eyes), He becomes Pure outwardly as well as inwardly.
Sometimes Krsna would ask what kind of mantra is this. This Mahamantra is very special because its made of Lord’s name. The Hare Krsna mantra, from the beginning it is having the Lord’s naam but gayatri mantra is not having the Lord’s naam. So Mahamantra is made of naam only. Chanting gayatri has to be chanted silently but Mahamantra is the opposite, the more loudly you chant the more powerful it is.
Gayatri mantra is secret, their Gurudev is secret but Mahamantra is open secret, we chant it loudly and we keep our beads in bead bag so its secret also. Chanting the holy name is Yuga dharma. When Sri Madhvacharya met Srila Vyasadev, Vyasadev inspired him to write the glories of hari naam. He wrote 9 prameyas to glorify Harinaam. Those Prameyas explain us what we need to learn in shastras.
sarvasya caham hrdi sannivisto
mattah smrtir jnanam apohanam ca
vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedanta-krd veda-vid eva caham (BG 15.15)
Translation: I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am the knower of the Vedas.
Many people don’t understand Vedas. People read Bhagavad Gita but they learn how to rule or how to make business. But this is not the real goal of reading Bhagavad Gita. To understand Vedas means to understand Krsna. In Prameyas, Sri Madhvacharya wrote, how to know the difference between matter and spirit soul, what is God, what is the difference between the Lord and the Jiva.
Srila Bhaktivinoda thakur also wrote Prameyas but he wrote one more Prameya, which was the root of all 9 prameyas and which is based on Rasa. In other Sampradayas, they are also chanting. But in our Sampradaya, we are dancing and crying and chanting.
nāca, gāo, bhakta-saṅge kara saṅkīrtana kṛṣṇa-nāma upadeśi’ tāra’ sarva-jana (CC Adi 7.92). This is the effect of the holy name.
Hare Krsna! Thank you very much.

Developing attachment for the Lord
Speaker: HG Vedanta Chaitanya Prabhu
Today we will discuss the prayers given to us by Srila Gopal Guru Goswami. He has given us 16 prayers. Even Guru Maharaj has discussed them many times with us. One prayer out of them is “Please Oh! Krsna attract my consciousness towards you!!”. Though Krsna is very attractive naturally and also it’s natural for the living entities to get attracted to him, one who attracts us in every possible way is Krsna.
Srila Prabhupada in one lecture explained, How Krsna is all attractive(sarva akarshati iti Krsna). He said Parasar Muni has commented the meaning of the word Bhagavan. And he says one who possesses all the 6 opulences in full then only we can call him Bhagavan – all beauty, all renunciation, all Knowledge, all Wisdom, all strength and all wealth. Krsna possesses all of them in full quantity. Only Krsna can claim himself to be the possessor of all wealth, no one else. Some might have wealth to a great extent but they are not fully opulent. That’s why he is all attractive. And he claims it in Bhagavad Gita also.
bhoktāraṁ yajña-tapasāṁ
sarva-loka-maheśvaram
suhṛdaṁ sarva-bhūtānāṁ
jñātvā māṁ śāntim ṛcchati (BG 5.29)
Translation: A person in full consciousness of Me, knowing Me to be the ultimate beneficiary of all sacrifices and austerities, the Supreme Lord of all planets and demigods, and the benefactor and well-wisher of all living entities, attains peace from the pangs of material miseries.
Krsna is all attractive and we are not getting attracted to him still,Why?? Somebody may claim that I am attracted to Krsna but to what extent. That one gets to know when you chant the Holy names of Krsna. The place where you have your attention and attachment, to that place your mind will run itself. Nobody can stop it.
ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanaṁ bhava-mahā-dāvāgni-nirvāpaṇaṁ
śreyaḥ-kairava-candrikā-vitaraṇaṁ vidyā-vadhū-jīvanam
ānandāmbudhi-vardhanaṁ prati-padaṁ pūrṇāmṛtāsvādanaṁ
sarvātma-snapanaṁ paraṁ vijayate śrī-kṛṣṇa-saṅkīrtanam (CC Antya 20.12)
Translation: Let there be all victory for the chanting of the holy name of Lord Kṛṣṇa, which can cleanse the mirror of the heart and stop the miseries of the blazing fire of material existence. That chanting is the waxing moon that spreads the white lotus of good fortune for all living entities. It is the life and soul of all education. The chanting of the holy name of Kṛṣṇa expands the blissful ocean of transcendental life. It gives a cooling effect to everyone and enables one to taste full nectar at every step.
For example you are attracted to Hot Pakodas. So when we get honoured Pakodas, do you need to pull your mind back. It’s natural to be focused on Prasadam when you have your favourite dish in your hand. When I was very new to Krsna consciousness, I remember, being very focused while watching the movie and television serial that I would not even hear my mother calling out for me. And I wouldn’t have any clue unless she would come and switch off the television.
So we have the ability to focus. But we are unable to do it due to Lack of interest. Our centre of attraction is something else. Thus all of us have the ability to focus or concentrate. We have to bring Krsna in the centre instead of any other object. So we got to know that Krsna is all attractive. And it’s my fault that I am not feeling that attraction.
So Krsna is all attractive and Krsna is the best object of attraction for a Jiva. Then why are you not feeling that attraction? We can see that iron is very naturally attracted to magnet. But sometimes it is not attracted to magnet, why? Because the piece of iron is rusted. So it’s not the fault of the magnet, It’s the fault of iron, that it’s rusted. And to cure that, we need to rub this iron so that the rust gets removed.
So what should we do to remove the rusted part of our heart. In the same lecture Srila Prabhupada said, “I have never visited California, I have no clue how California is”. But if I get to know more about California, then I may develop a desire to visit California. If we want to develop our attraction to go to California then we need to hear more about it.
Similarly if we want to develop attraction for Krsna then we should hear about Krsna. Then only we can develop the attraction for him. Also we learn this from Mother Rukmini’s pastimes. She used to hear about Krsna, and by hearing about him, she gradually developed an intense desire to marry Krsna.
So much so that she requested Krsna to come and kidnap her. Similarly by hearing about Krsna we can develop such an attraction to Krsna that Krsna will come to steal you one day.
shri radhikaya hridayasya cauram
navambuda-shyamala-kanti-cauram
padashritanam ca samasta-cauram
cauragraganyam purusham namami (Chaurashtakam 2)
Translation: I offer pranama to the foremost of thieves – who steals Shrimati Radhika’s heart, who steals the dark luster of a fresh raincloud, and who steals all the sins and sufferings of those who take shelter of His feet.
One of Krsna’s name is Hari. When Krsna makes a plan then those plans are mostly successful. Sometimes they would fail, for example in the case of Gopis. Sometimes when he would go to Gopis house to steal butter but, he would not find any butter. And then he would curse those Gopis. So Gopis had the potency to fail his plans but we don’t.
When Lord Rama was in the forest, Mother Sita would serve him very nicely. And many Rishis and Munis would appreciate that mood of serving Lord Rama. And they would desire to serve the Lord with the same mood. Similarly when we would observe the Pure devotees of the Lord serving Krsna then by observing them, we can develop attraction for the service of the Lord. When Rishis and Munis desires couldn’t be satisfied in that life, So Krsna allowed them to serve them in his avatar as Krsna.
vyavasāyātmikā buddhir
ekeha kuru-nandana
bahu-śākhā hy anantāś ca
buddhayo ’vyavasāyinām (BG 2.41)
Translation:
Those who are on this path are resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O beloved child of the Kurus, the intelligence of those who are irresolute is many-branched.
Another way is to make investment. We can invest time, money etc in the service of the Lord. For example, newly married couple develop a deep attachment for each other as the time proceeds. The bigger is the investment that we make, the faster we may see the results. When our efforts are distributed in different directions and not directed towards one direction then the result takes time. The time of chanting is exam hours, if we sit unprepared, we shall certainly fail. May you all give your exam attentively daily. Hare Krsna!

Theme: 50th Hare Krsna festival
Jay Jay Nanda Yasoda Dulal Girivara Dhari Gopal! Gopal Gopal Gopal Gopal! Are you in bliss? Hari Hari! This program is happening in Radha Gopal temple. Ayodhya Dham ki Jay! A few days before, on 22nd, I was also present there. Modi and Yogi Ji had invited many special guests for the Ramalalla installation ceremony and I was one of those guests. This was also said, and there also it was said, how was the program? Grand, magnificent and transcendental; we can say ‘it never happened in the past and it will never happen in the future’. We can say this and at the same time we can’t. There in Ayodhya two incidences were especially remembered. One was the birth of Lord Rama. That ‘Rama Janmostava’ was celebrated with same excitement, joy, grandeur and divinity, which everyone was feeling now. And the second was when Rama returned again to Ayodhya after His exile, and that festival became Deepavali. Deepavali Mahotsava ki Jay! That was celebration where Lord Rama was welcomed. Jaya Sri Rama and Laksman and Hanuman and others! With same excitement and joy that ‘Welcoming festival’ was celebrated. So these two festivals were celebrated in those days and now this one, on 22nd was the third in that series and that’s why I said it never happened in the past and will never happen in the future. I am improving my statement. It is not that earlier there were no festivals in Ayodhya; there were two grand celebrations and now this is the third one.
Sub-theme: Rama connection and Sri Krsna Caitnaya Mahaprabhu connection
So, I came from Ayodhya to Arawade. There is connection between these two places. Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Rama and Arawade is my birthplace. So from the birthplace of Lord Rama I came here to my birthplace. As we are remembering the Lord Rama and comparing Ayodhya Rama and me Raghunath Das, that time I was not called as Dasa, but later on I came to know that I am Dasa. So Lord appeared on Tuesday, ten lakhs years ago. Rama was born on Tuesday and I also born on Tuesday, some 75 years before. And therefore I was given name Raghunath. Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu ki Jay!
namomahā-vadānyāya

Translation:
O most munificent incarnation! You are Kṛṣṇa Himself appearing as Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu. You have assumed the golden color of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, and You are widely distributing pure love of Kṛṣṇa. We offer our respectful obeisances unto You. [CC Madhya 19.53]
So when Caitanya Mahaprabhu was on His South India tour, He also came to Arawade. Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu was walking and He was not just walking, but He used to dance. So Caitanya Mahaprabhu passed through this place while dancing and performing kirtan and I was born in such a village. This is Rama connection and Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu connection. And you all can also say
Kṛṣṇa boro doyāmoy, kori bāre jihwā jay,

O brothers, Lord Krsna is very merciful. Just to control the tongue, He has given us the remnants of His own food! Now, please eat these nectarean grains while singing the glories of Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha and Krsna, and in love call out “Caitanya! Nitai!” [Verse 2 from song ‘PrasadaSevaya’by Bhakti Vinod Thakur]
swa-prasād-anna dilobhāi He has given His own Prasad and that is why Kṛṣṇa boro doyāmoy, so, Lord gives Krsna Prasad and many more things.
I am the son of Bhagavan, God because my father’s name was Bhagavan. I was given name Raghunath, but the full name was Raghunath Bhagavan Patil and my uncle’s name was Raja Ram, Raja Ram Patil. And my grandfather’s name was Sawala, it was also Lord’s name. Sawala, black, Lord Vitthal is black, so He is also known as Sawala. So my name was Raghunath Bhagavan Sawala Patil.
When we talk about fortune, to take birth in India is also fortune, and then we receive such names. Because of that we get the connection with Krsna and Rama, directly or indirectly or such names keep us reminding this connection.
Sub-theme: The specialty of this year
So on this day, in this year, we are celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Hare Krsna festival. Anyways we have to explain this but there is no time. We are celebrating this Golden Jubilee of Hare Krishna festival and along with that it is 15th Brahmotsava or anniversary of Radha Gopal temple. 50 years back I became Hare Krsna man and this Hare Krsna festival started in Arawade. Many villagers were calling me, ‘you became mad’. ‘This boy was good, but now he became mad’. So, in 1974 when I came here first time as Hare Krsna devotee, Srila Prabhupad ki Jay, as a disciple of Srila Prabhupada. So from that time this Hare Krsna festival began. And fifteen years ago this temple was opened. Radha Gopal temple anniversary ki Jay!
We are also celebrating the 5th anniversary of the zoom temple. This zoom temple is also now 5 years old. And I also said that this year is my 75th birthday. And this year it is 150th appearance day of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur, the spiritual master of Srila Prabhupada. And this year is also, 375 years before Tukaram Maharaj went back to Godhead. So this year is special year because of many things.
Sub-theme: Radha Gopal temple inauguration in 2009
Today we are celebrating 15th anniversary of Radha Gopal temple and I was thinking, but fifteen years back this was not the exact day of temple opening. We celebrate it on 26th January, on the Republic day, but it was Nityananda Trayodasi. When the temple was inaugurated, who was present at that time here? Not many. Where were you? Why you were not here? So that opening festival, Radha Gopal installation and not only Radha Gopal, but Vitthal Rukmini and Sita Rama Lakshman Hanuman and who else, Sri Sri Gaur Nitai ki Jay! All of them were installed during that festival. So the festival was very grand. Recently the grand and divine festival happened at Ayodhya and the grand and divinity of the festival at this place was also not less. It was the same as it was in Ayodhya. The happiness, eagerness and excitement that was in Ayodhya, was here as well. I think as it is said, ‘history repeats’. That one was also a historical event in Ayodhya. Such historical event took place here in Arawade 15 years ago.
In Ayodhya, around 8000 guests were invited and here in Arawade also around 8000 guests were present at that time. Many leaders of ISCKON, including Prabhupada disciples, GBC members, Sannyasis, they were around thirty. This was a big number. This number is considered a big number. And the ministers of Government of Maharashtra were also present here. Our R R Patil, he was deputy chief minister and Grama Mantri. He brought some of the ministers with him. Some of them came in the plane; private planes also landed here. In Ayodhya many businessmen, politicians and actors came in private jets and here also one-two planes were landed at that time. And there were many visitors. Population of this village is two-four thousands, but many nearby villagers and devotees from other places also came here and the numbers were doubled. Such festivals ki Jay!
Sub-theme: Prabhupada wanted ISCKON in Arawade
I used to celebrate this Hare Krsna festival for some years. In 77 also I came here to celebrate Hare Krsna festival and I sent report of this festival to Srila Prabhupada. It was before Gaura Purnima, on Nityananda Trayodasi, in 77. So in 77, I sent the report of Hare Krsna festival to Srila Prabhupada and in that report I mentioned that one person, before he used to chat Ram Naam or Rama mantra and now he is ready to chant daily Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare! He is ready to chant 16 rounds of this Mahamantra daily. I wrote this in the report and Prabhupada replied to that report and he noted down, ‘Oh there is one person in your village who is ready to chant.’ So Prabhupada said, make him representative of ISCKON in your village. Then I realised that Prabhupada wants ISKCON in Arawade.
From that time I was thinking, there should be ISCKON in Arawade. After that many things took place. Preaching increased. That person who was ready to chant daily and gradually my uncle Rajaram Patil also joined him and together they gathered many villagers and there is one Vitthal temple outside the village. There, daily at night, they used to read one sloka from Prabhupada’s Bhagavad Gita. I think one sloka, and so they read the whole Bhagavad Gita. Like this preaching increased in the village and gradually many villagers were ready to chant Hare Krsna Mantra. I can not tell the whole history, what happened.
And then my brother Dharma Avatar Prabhu ki Jay! He donated some land for ISKCON. It is just across that road. And then because of that the movements increased and finally on Nityananda Trayodasi, the temple was inaugurated. It was not lifetime preparation, but many years gone in that and finally in 2009 the temple was opened. Radha Gopal temple inauguration ki Jay! So today is the 15th anniversary. All this is the mercy of the Lord. We must say that it is specially the mercy of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. At the beginning of Kaliyuga kalau pratham sandhyayam, in the first Sandhya of Kaliyuga, Lord appeared in the form of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. And He also did the prediction that ‘My name will be preached everywhere.’
pṛthivīte āche yata nagarādi-grāma
sarvatra pracāra haibe mora nāma
Translation:
In every town and village, the chanting of My name will be heard. [CB Antya-khaṇḍa 4.126]
And this is the Dharma, religion of Kaliyuga.
kali-kälera dharma—krsna-näma-sankirtana
krsna-sakti vinä nahe tära pravartana
Translation: The fundamental religious system in the Age of Kali is the chanting of the holy name of Krsna. Unless empowered by Krsna, one cannot propagate the sankirtana movement. [CC Antya 7.11]
There is no other religion.
harer näma harer näma
harer nämaiva kevalam
kalau nästy eva nästy eva
nästy eva gatir anyathä
Translation:
In this Age of Kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means for self-realization than chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name of Lord Hari. [CC Adi 17.21]
Sri-rädhär bhäve ebe gorä avatär
hare krsna näm gaura korilä pracär
Translation:
Now He has come again as Lord Gauränga, the fair-skinned incarnation, endowed with the ecstatic mood of Sri Rädhä, and has spread widely the chanting of the holy names ‘Hare Krsna.’ [From Jaya Jaya Jagannath by Vasudeva Ghosa]
So Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in the mood of Radha. Radha Bhava means bhakti bhava, the devotional mood. And He Himself preached Hari Naam all over India. So, Lord’s prediction gradually came true. In my village also one person was ready to chant Hare Krsna Mahamantra and along with that Lord Caitanya’s prediction became true even in Arawade. The temple is inaugurated, or where ever the Hare Krsna Mahamantra reach, in every village and town on this earth; In Ayodhya also new temple is inaugurated.
Sub-theme: Temple is opened, but what next?
When I was there in Ayodhya, I was thinking that the people present here do not have idea that ISKCON has established Rama Mandir in Delhi, the capital of India and then in England, the capital of London and in Washington DC, the capital of America also Rama Mandir is established and at many other places Rama Mandir and Krsna Mandir and Jagannath Mandir and Gaurang Mahaprabhu ki Jay, everywhere temples are being established. Modi ji was also in Ayodhya. In his speech he was giving some inspirational talks, temple is opened but what next? He was saying, Hindu dharma, and we have to make this Hindu rashtra. I don’t remember but he must have said that we need to spread Sanatan Dharma, Bhagavat Dharma everywhere. Get ready for this. He was saying, temple is established, now for the next thousand years we must be very busy. He was giving us a target, but we will say, we or Gaudiya Vaisnavas will say, for next 9500 years we have to be ready, because in the middle of Kaliyuga is the golden period and it started with the appearance of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who Himself was suvarna varna hemango, golden complexioned. This golden period started with the appearance of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and in the scriptures also it is mentioned that this period will remain for 10000 years. The prediction of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, pṛthivīte āche yata nagarādi-grāma sarvatra pracāra haibe mora nāma, In every town and village, the chanting of My name will be heard. When the period of 10000 years will be complete, by that time, in every town and village of the earth, there will be Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!
And then we have to say or must agree that wherever Hare Krsna Mantra reach, wherever this Hare Krsna kirtan is performed, many people gather together and perform kirtan and that is called as sankirtana. Such Sankirtan movement ki Jay! param vijayate sri-krsna-sankirtanam, Let there be all victory for the chanting of the holy name of Lord Krsna.
ceto-darpana-märjanam bhava-mahä-dävägni-nirväpanam
sreyah-kairava-candrikä-vitaranam vidyä-vadhü-jivanam
änandämbudhi-vardhanam prati-padam pürnämrtäsvädanam
sarvätma-snapanam param vijayate sri-krsna-sankirtanam
Translation: Let there be all victory for the chanting of the holy name of Lord Krsna, which can cleanse the mirror of the heart and stop the miseries of the blazing fire of material existence. That chanting is the waxing moon that spreads the white lotus of good fortune for all living entities. It is the life and soul of all education. The chanting of the holy name of Krsna expands the blissful ocean of transcendental life. It gives a cooling effect to everyone and enables one to taste full nectar at every step. [CC Antya 20.12]
Wherever this sankirtan will reach in those towns and villages there will be temples. So, many temples are going to be established. How many? As many villages are there on the earth. May be there will be more than one temple in one village but at least there will be one temple in every village. So this is our or Gaudiya Vaisnava’s target given by Caitanya Mahaprabhu. So this is our vision, this is our goal, this is the vision of Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is Lord Mahavishnu. This is His goal. So like this, Lord will make Himself available for everyone. We need to understand this. What we have to do? Lord will make Himself available, as I said, He will make Himself accessible, available in every village and town.
So when the temple is open, as Lord has told us to do,
man-manā bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru
mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te
pratijāne priyo ’si me
Translation:
Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend. [BG 18.65]
In Bhagavad Gita Lord asked us to do four things. When Srila Prabhupada gave me sannyasa, on that day he told me do these four things, follow these four regulative principals and what are they? man-manā bhava, always think of Me, mad-bhakto become My devotee, mad-yājī worship Me and māṁ namaskuru offer obeisance to Me.
So temple is opened, what next? We have to do this now. This is homework, to remember the Lord. And then in ISKCON temples such education is given to the people. People are educated. There is no other arrangement in our society or country other than ISKCON. This work of education and preaching and realizing the mellows is performed only by ISKCON. And Caitanya Mahaprabhu said,
Yāre dekha, tāre kaha ‘kṛṣṇa’-upadeśa
Āmāra ājñāya guru hañā tāra’ ei deśa
Translation:
“Instruct everyone to follow the orders of Lord ŚrīKṛṣṇa as they are given in the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. In this way become a spiritual master and try to liberate everyone in this land.” [CC Madhya 7.128]
So who ever have joined to Hare Krsna movement, whoever is the member of this movement, what they have to do? They themselves should practice and then preach. Become Acharya, follow and preach. Achara, vichar and prachar with proper pronunciation. Proper behavior means Achar, with that our thoughts, vichar become of high standard and then along with that we have to do prachar, preaching.
kṛṣṇa se tomāra, kṛṣṇa dīte pāro,
tomāra śakati āche
āmi to’ kāńgāla, ‘kṛṣṇa’ ‘kṛṣṇa’ boli’,
dhāi tava pāche pāche
Translation:
Krsna is yours. You have the power to give Him to me. I am simply your servant running behind you shouting, “Krsna! Krsna!”. [Verse 4 from song ‘OheVaisnavaThakura’ by Bhakti Vinod Thakur]
All of you who are connected with this Arawade temple, or are connected to this movement, or have received Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare, this Mahamantra, you are capable, you have the power to give Krsna to others. Whatever you have acquired, received Krsna, give that to others. Share your realisations to others. kṛṣṇa se tomāra, kṛṣṇa dīte pāro, tomāra śakati ācheI All of you have that strength, that Power. So here we have given you Radha Gopal. Take this Radha Gopal and what you have to do next? Take and give. So have realisations of Radha Gopal and share those realisations with others. Radha Gopal ki Jay! Radha Gopal temple anniversary festival ki Jay! Gaur premanande Hari Hari Bol!

Japa Talk – 25th January
Speaker – HG Dharmaraj Prabhu
Topic – Pushya abhishekmahatmya and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu pastimes in Jagannath Puri
HG Dharmaraj Prabhu prays mangalacharanprayers. All my obeisances unto my Gurumaharaj and all the Vaishnavas present here.I thank Hg Padmamali prabhu to allow me to speak today. Today is Pushya Abhishek festival according to the Vaishnav calendar and that’s why you can see my background with flowers and Tulsi. So Srila Prabhupada said about this festival that Sri Krishna is like toy in the hands of the Gopi’s , whatever the Gopi’s say that Sri Krishna has to do. One day they decided to decorate Sri Krishna with flowers, ornaments and beautiful clothes. They thought to decorate Krishna with all beautiful jewels. So Pushya Abhishek isa festival where the Lordships are decorated with lot of flowers, jewels and ornaments. So today in most of the temples today the deities of the Lord are decorated with flowers, Abhishek is done with flowers specially in Mayapur, but in Mayapur the deities are huge still they have Abhishek with flowers.
Pushya Abhishek Mahatmya
In the Bhagvad Gita Krishna says-
patraṁpuṣpaṁphalaṁtoyaṁ
yo me bhaktyāprayacchati
tad ahaṁbhakty-upahṛtam
aśnāmiprayatātmanaḥ
Translation
If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, I will accept it.[BG 9.26]
So when Krishna sees that a devotee is giving me a flower with so much love he doesn’t stay “fool” anymore he becomes intelligent. ShrilaPrabhupad says that after offering a flower to Krishna when we get it back it becomes mahaprasad and when we smell it we become pure our senses become pure and Krishna Conscious.
Importance of Tulsi
Amongst the flowers special is the tulsi which is also offered to the Lord. Tulasi is also called as pushpa sara which means the topmost of all flowers without whom Krishna does not like to look upon other flowers.
Vrindavani, vrinda, visvapujita, pushpasara, nandini, Krishna-jivani, visva-pavanitulsi (Asta nama stave from padma purana). On the full moon day of Kartik Lord Krishna Himself worships Srimati Tulasi Devi with this mantra.
So those who worship Tulasi with this mantra everyday obtain Her special mercy. SoTulasi is very important. Even in Krishna’s Vaijayanti mala Tulasi is very important there may be any flowers in it but Tulasi is very important. Krishna does not even accept Prasad without Tulasi and even on His Lotus feet we offer Tulasi.
Even the four Kumaras immediately got benefited by having the offered tulasi from the Lords feet of the Lord-
tasyaravinda-nayanasyapadaravinda-
kinjalka-misra-tulasi-makaranda-vayuḥ
antar-gataḥsva-vivareṇacakarateṣaṁ
sankṣobhamakṣara-juṣamapicitta-tanvoḥ
Translation
When the breeze carrying the aroma of tulasi leaves from the toes of the lotus feet of the Personality of Godhead entered the nostrils of those sages, they experienced a change both in body and in mind, even though they were attached to the impersonal Brahman understanding.[SB 3.15.43]
It appears from this verse that the four Kumaras were impersonalists or protagonists of the philosophy of monism, becoming one with the Lord. But as soon as they saw the Lord’s features, their minds changed. Till now the four kumaras were not able to get a good understand of Bhakti but as soon as they took the fragrance of the Tulasi from the Lords Lotus feet their thinking changed.
Leaves also means Tulsi and it also means the different leaves of vegetables.
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Pastimes in Jagannath Puri
Now we will hear about this. Once in Jagannath Puri during the appearance of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu this leela happened- Once Chaitanya Mahaprabhu went to take darshan of Jagannath Ji and the watchperson at the door was standing there. He welcomed Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Then Chaitanya Mahaprabhu asked him to show beloved Krishna,Mahaprabhu asked where is my Beloved Krishna, please show Him to me.He held the hand of the watchperson and pleaded him to show Krishna who is the deliverer of everyone.
eka-dinakarena prabhu jagannathadarasana

Translation
One day, while Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu was looking at Lord Jagannatha in the temple, Lord Jagannatha appeared to be personally Sri Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda Maharaja.[CC Antya 15.7]
Mahaprabhu and that watchperson reached a place called Jagmohan.Where Jagannath Ji is placed that is called the Shri Mandir and the place where Garuda is there that is called Jagmohan. Behind this is the Bhogmandap. There was the deity and the watch person asked Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to see the darshan saying that this deity is the one you are talking about.
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu saw this from behind Garuda ji,while taking darshan the impression of Mahaprabhu’s fingers got impregnated on the wall behind Garud Ji.
Today also when devotees go for darshan they keep their finger on that impression and then take darshan.Once when I went for darshan I dint know where that finger impression was so I was trying to find it within that time a very old lady came, her hair was all white she held my fingers and placed it on that impression of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s finger and I was shocked. I was thinking who she must have been
So we would keep our hand on that impression, take darshan and pray to Lord Jagannath. So when Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was seeing the Jagannath Deity it got transformed into Krishna who was playing the flute(Vamsidhari). So Jagannath deity gave darshan to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the form of Krishna playing the flute.
About this Raghunath Das Goswami has written in his book called Gaurang stavakalpavriksha,it says-
kva me kantaḥ kṛṣṇastvaritamiha tam lokayasakhe
tvamevetidvaradhipamabhivadannunmadaiva
drutamgacchadraṣṭumpriyamiti tad-uktenadhṛta-tad-
bhujantargaurangohṛdayaudayan mam
Translation
“My dear friend the doorkeeper, where is Krsna, the Lord of My heart? Kindly show Him to Me quickly.” With these words Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu addressed the doorkeeper like a madman. The doorkeeper grasped His hand and replied very hastily, “Come, see Your beloved!” May that Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu rise within my heart and thus make me mad also.[Song name is Gatim DrstvaYasyaPramada;Book name-Stavavali]
Another pastime of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Jagannath Puri
Many types of different prasadam offerings are made to Jagannath ji.He is Anna-Brahma.Just like in Pandharpur. He is Naad Brahma that same way in Jagannath Puri the Lord is Anna Brahma.Once the Gopala vallabhBhoga was being offered to Jagannath Ji.After aarti the Prasad plate was taken out and then Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came to take Prasad and He was given the same.First the pujari wore Jagannath Ji’s garland to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and he also gave Him Prasad. That Prasad was undoubtedly nice but it also had a very delicious fragrance. So when Prasad is offered to the Lord it becomes even more delicious and gets a special fragrance. Now for example the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is established and many devotees are saying that the darshan before and after the deity installation are different.Just like Guru Maharaj said in the Japa talk that Lord Rama saw me and I also saw Him.SoMahaprabhu was given the Mahaprasad and the pujari tied some of the Mahaprasad eaten by Mahaprabhu.Immediatelyadter having the Prasad Mahaprabhu was ecstatic and had tears in the eyes,He started thinking where is this taste coming from then he thought that this must surely be the taste of Krishna ‘s Adharamrit. From here Mahaprabhu went to Shantipur after having bath in Yamuna.
eka-dinasantipure, prabhu adwaiteraghare,
dui prabhu bhojanebosilo
sakkoriaswadana, prabhu bole bhakta-gaṇa,
eisakkṛṣṇaaswadilo
Translation
O brothers! One day at Sri Advaita’s house in santipura, the two Lords-Caitanya and Nityananda-were seated for lunch. Lord Caitanya tasted the green leafy vegetable preparation and addressed the assembly of His devotees, “This sak is so delicious! Lord Krsna has definitely tasted it.[CC Antya 15.7]
In context to this Bhaktivinod Thakur says-
henosak-aswadane, kṛṣṇa-premaaise mane,
sei preme koro aswadana
jaḍa-buddhiparihari, prasad bhojanakori,
`harihari’ bolo sarvajan
Translation
At the taste of sak like this, love of Krsna arises in the heart. In such love you should taste these remnants. Giving up all materialistic conceptions and taking the Lord’s prasad, all of you just chant `Hari! Hari!’” [Text 2, Ek Din Santipure, By Bhaktivonod thakur]
So Mahaprabhu is thinking that the Prasad that He has got is so delicious because it is tasted by Krishna Himself. But when Mahaprabhu saw that the servants in the temple were seeing all this Mahaprabhu immediately handled Himself so that the people around don’t misunderstand, because once when previously Mahaprabhu was taking darshan of Jagannath Ji He shouted Jaga!! Jaga!! And people around thought that this is fake.
That’s why Mahaprabhu started walking away from there and said that only the one who is very fortunate gets the Mahaprasad offered to the Lord,so the servants of the Jagannath temple asked Mahaprabhu to explain what He is saying,so here it is said
maha-prasadegovinde
nama-brahmanivaisnave
svalpa-punya-vatamrajan
visvasonaivajayate
Translation
O king, for those who have amassed very few pious activities, their faith in maha-prasada, in Sri Govinda, in the Holy Name and in the Vaisnava is never born.[Mahabharat]
So only have done good deeds for births together get an opportunity to obtain the pure love of God.
bahunaṁjanmanam ante
jnanavan mam prapadyate
vasudevaḥsarvamiti
sa mahatma su-durlabhaḥ
Translation
After many births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders unto Me, knowing Me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soul is very rare.[BG 7.19]
How we should take Prasad and the beautiful description of Krishna
So when food is offered to the Lord and is touched by His Lips it becomes Mahaprasad and similarly when He plays His flute the sound that comes is the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. So when we chant the Mahamantra we must think that it has Krishna’s Adharamrit so must try to recite it again and again. So when the gopis see that Krishna is playing the flute they think become ecstatic.
barhapiḍamnaṭa-vara-vapuḥkarṇayoḥkarṇikaram
bibhradvasaḥ kanaka-kapisaṁvaijayantiṁ ca malam
randhranveṇoradhara-sudhayapurayangopa-vṛndair
vṛndaraṇyamsva-pada-ramaṇampravisadgita-kirtiḥ
Translation
Wearing a peacock-feather ornament upon His head, blue karṇikara flowers on His ears, a yellow garment as brilliant as gold, and the Vaijayantī garland, Lord Kṛṣṇa exhibited His transcendental form as the greatest of dancers as He entered the forest of Vṛndavana, beautifying it with the marks of His footprints. He filled the holes of His flute with the nectar of His lips, and the cowherd boys sang His glories.[ŚB 10.21.5]
So just like by adding His adharamrit food becomes mahaprasad similarly while playing the flute when Krishna touches His lips on the flute the sound that comes is non different from Krishna.
That sound reaches the person whom it has to reach unto.Krishna’s name and He Himself are non different from each other. That is why a pure devotee always thinks about Krishna.Everybody does not get this opportunity. When we accept an offered Lamp we accept it because it is offered to Krishna and it has a spiritual energy.SoMahaprabhu left from there but was constantly thinking about Krishna.
In ISKCON when we say OM NAMO BHAGVATE VASUDEVAYA everybody tends to sleep but during MahaprasadeGovinde everybody becomes awake,so this should not happen. So we should also take Prasad in the same way as Mahaprabhu has taken we should complain about it we should glorify the Prasad while taking it by this both the soul and body will get purified. So I stop here.Hare Krishna!!
HG Padmamali prabhu thanks HG Dharmaraj prabhu for such a wonderfull talk by chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra!!

To the great Rama,Raghunatha,Ramabhadra (Different names to Lord Rama) the Lord who is the consort of GoddesSeethu, mysaluations to you.
Hari Hari!
The day or the moment weall were waiting for the past 500 years, yesterday in 2024 that moment finally came .We all were witnesses to that moment. I was also there. There were 800-1000 special guests. Mostly there were saints, celebrities, sportsmen, industrialists etc were present. One of the guests was the Sun god. There was a lot of fog and darkness for many days. So, Sun Godalso appeared. Lord Rama appeared in the same dynasty as the Sun God. As that moment came nearer, he appeared completely in the sky, otherwise he was not there in the early morning. Some austerities which were performed they were called as Karma Kanda. I didn’t like that thing and also the fact that the Karma kandi Brahmanas were performing those austerities. Our Prime Minister Modiji. Yogiji and Mohan Bhagavat and many more were in the sanctum sanctorumand activities were going on. In the beginning we couldn’t have darshans of the deities, then in the end of Karma Kand, finally we had darshans of Ram Lalla. The Sun God appeared before this. When we had darshans, that moment was very special. That was the highlight of the occasion. For others and myself it was a special moment. I also had the darshans of Ram Lalla. I always say that we go for darshans but when he wants to give darshans then only he will give. He gave me darshans yesterday. I was thinking that only I and Rama Lalla was there for some moments. I so mesmerized by him. I just had darshans and thought about him only. My travel was successful. Hari Hari. So, the ritual was finally completed. The temple was inaugurated. Then he gave darshans in that temple after the Pran Prathistha. The atmosphere and the arrangements by the Yogi government were very nice and of fine quality. Then the speakers were reminding us that when Rama returnedfromthe 14 yearexile, how Ayodhya would have been decorated and how they have been waiting for Ram. In a similar way this occasion of yesterday’s event was celebrated. This is not a daily affair. This is not business as usual. It was special event yesterday, celebrated with special enthusiasm. We have been waiting for this moment for five hundred years, Vikramaditya was a sage who helped in the development of Ayodhya and he placed a lot of deities in Ayodhya and also the deity of Ram Lalla or it might be Ram Darbar also. So that temple was destroyedby Muslim invaders who built a Mosque at this place five hundred years ago. It was the same situation for Rama Lala as the fourteen year exile period as mentioned in the Ramayana. He stayed in the hut. So yesterday there was a lot of remembrances also. Many people gave their lives for this temple and again that the deity is established. A big deity was also installed apart from the original deity. Few years back, Muslims destroyed the temple. Twenty fiveyears ago, Hindus broke that Mosque. Then they could not do much, this place is of Ram that too in Ayodhya. Then after the verdict of the Supreme Court, theydecalred that here the Ram Mandir will be built here and the deity will be installed here. Thus justice was delieverd. After five hundered years that moment finally came yesterday. The temple is inaugurated and many people like Modiji ,Yogiji and Mohan Bhagavat ji spoke to the whole world about this. People were also tuned in. So, it had happened nicely. What next? This were the questions raised. They were answering that. Everything happened nicely. After Pran Pratishtha was the only goal? Is that the ultimate goal? All this was true. They said that we have toestablish Hindu religion and the Nationalism. We have to make this nation Hindu. I will say that we have to establish Bhagavad dharma, Sanatana dharma sankirtan should be established in India. This is the goal given to us. What next I was thinking.

My glories will be spread in all over the world. We have to make India as the spiritual head of the whole world, and make this world Vishnu maye. This descriptions are given in Vedas. I was thinking that Srila Prabhupada had spread this movement in the whole world and he is actually become the Guru of the whole world .He is not Up guru or South Guru. He is not local he is Guru of the whole world. Yesterday, the temple was established here. This was long due, but I was thinking that Srila Prabhupada established the Juhu temple in the financial capital of India. He also established Ram mandir inDelhi ,England, London and in Washingdon DC he established Ram Darbar-Ram, Sita, Laxman and Hanuman. Haribol. I was thinking that 1000 guests were present there, they didn’t know about that how Srila Prabhupada has established ISKCON so successfully and it is expanding and with it HarinaamSankirtan is also expanding everywhere. My thoughts are many but I was thinking that this inauguration happened nicely and the it was well organised. It paid attention to all the details. Then in few years we have to inaugurate the TOVP! I was noting that at the time of opening of TOVP, we have to start preparing for in advance so that the same atmosphere is created as it was created yesterday. This temple is also waiting to inauguration for the last 500 years. So, Lord Nityananda’s prediction comes true.

“Lord Krishna, who is the son of the King of Vraja, became the son of Saci (Lord Caitanya), and Balaramabecame Nitai. The holy name delivered all those souls who were lowly and wretched. The two sinners Jagaiand Madhai are evidence of this.”
One is Krsna and one is Balram in the form of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu. Nityananda Prabhu told Jiva Goswami about this prediction. Then we have to learn a lot of things from yesterday so that we can inaugurate the TOVP should become talk of the town and everyone should be involved in that. It should be the talk of the town and it should be publicized. This all also has to happen. Modiji said that yesterday’s event should be remembered as a historical event of Pran Prathishtha. This moment will be cherished for evr and it was a historical event. So, afterone thousandyears the dreams for devotees came true. What to do next? How can we propagate the mood of Rama, our religion, Ram vani Ram rajya etc everywhere. This will be remembered for thousands of years!
This preaching activities are given by Chaitanya Mahaprabhufor 10,000 years. This is Kaliyuga’s golden period. He is the golden avatar from where this golden period started.

He will be distinguished from Māyāvādīsannyāsīs in that He will be fixed in devotional service and will spread the saṅkīrtana movement.’
This event was a boost to ISKCON activities and people are coming to their consciousness. Yesterday a lot of kirtan were performed but Hare krishnamahamantra kirtan

Was not performed. I was thinking when will it happen? There are a lot of things like this. Sri Sri Gaur Nitai ki Jai! Few days before, Nitai Gaur came in his ratha in Ayodhya and this Gaur nitai is Rama and Laxman and they are only Krsna and Balrama. This secret when will everyone will know? People have no clue who are they?We tell thme about Gaur Nitai. So this is our agenda to tell people. People are aware of Ram and Laxman. People are not aware of Laxman is also lord. There is possibility that they may know this. They know Krsna and Balrama but they don’t know Gaur Nitai. There are more knowers of Ram Laxman and Krsna and Balrama. When will that day come when:

When will that day come when people know Gaur Nitai. When that day will come? This Hare Krsna movementis established by Srila Prabhupada but we have to expand this even more. Who is Gaur Notai, who is Panchattava? When will they know about Mayapur, Panchattava Radha Madhav? They know aboutAyodhya, Vrindavan but they don’t know about Mayapur Dham. Mayapur Dham is more than Vrindavan. When will they know about that? In 1976, when Srila Prabhupada asked me to go from Vrindavan to Mayapur for Padayatra so people used to ask that you are sadhu and you are going to Mayapur? You are going to the city of Maya? So we have to enlighten people about the HarinaamSankirtanaand deity worship shouldalso be there and in Satya Yuga medidation was there, in Treta yuga yagna is important and in Dvapar Yuga Deity worship is important but in Kaliyuga dominance of Hare Krsna Mahmantra :
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare
should be there. This is the dharma of Kailyuga. So to establish the dharma of Kali Yuga, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared and established the sankirtana dharma.

‘In this Age of Kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means for self-realization than chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name of Lord Hari.’
This is the truth, it just not said like that. We have to make people understand this and establish this dharma. Now Rama Lala is here! Ram Lala Pran Prathishtha ki Jai!They said what is next? Many leaders said this- Where do we go from here? So our GaudiyaVaishnavas’s thoughts are also there. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s has given us his masterplan and a goal to achieve. So we are associated with him and we have to knowwhat we have to do. So this is just the beginning, a lot is left. Padayatra means the preaching of the holynameand the establishment of HarinaamSankirtana. We have just startedspreading the glories of Holyname. 1n 1986, we celebrated Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s 500th birthday anniversary from Mayapur to Kanyakumari , then we decided that we will continue it till 1996 for Srila Prabhupada‘s100thbirth anniversary. ISKCON was going to celebrate it. But my Godbrother H.H. HridayanandSwami Maharaj asked me till when padayatra will continue? I said that it will continue for ten more years up until 1996. I thought that he will be pleased to hear this but he said that “Only ten years? Why not for ten thousand years?” Srila Prabhupada also had the same plan which we were not thinking at that time. So this plan and program of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and it will spread till ten thousand years. For us Gaudiya Vaishnavas the Ram temple is now built, now the next bestthing is to spread the glories of the holyname. Wherever this sankirtan will spread and it will spread in all parts of the world. This is the predictionof Rama , Krsna and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Wherever, kirtan reaches, the the number of devotees increases, a temple should be there. A temple is there in Ayodhya but everywhere temple should be established and JaiSri Krsna should be chanted everywhere. Rama Chandra, Krsna Chandra and ChaitanyaChandra temples should be established. There will beGita, Bhagavad and Ram kathas everywhere and the cows will also be protected. So, in this way Saket on earth or Vrindavan on earth can be established wherever temple is established. So this work will continue. We all have to preach, read, distribute books, Ram and Chaitanya prasadam and celebrate a lot of festivals. Humans like celebrations, in every festival new people come, so Srila Prabhupada has give us a lot of festivals and we have to organise these festivals and spread this Krsna Consciousness. All Consciousnesses are involved in that. If you have Rs. 100 then you can buy Rs.2 things also. All feelings come in Krsna Consciousness like Allah Consciousness etc. Everyone is included, no is is excluded. Modiji said

Please note. Everyone came. All shouldcome in thisshloka. This shloka is for all Muslims, Christians or Hindus. The soul is not Hindu, Muslim or Christian. This duality is established which creates confusion. This Krsna Consciousness is above all this. Remember this goal, we have to see till where we can spread this movement and till where we can distribute. Get ready to fight. Srila Prabhupada said preaching is fighting.

Theme : Today you all celebrate Ramlala pratishthapana festival
Today you keep a picture of Ramchandra in your altar and today celebrate Ramotsav. Celebrate deepotsav also. Clean your altar and decorate it. Get well dressed and do a kirtan in front of the Lord. Do Ram katha and Ram kirtan. Invite your friends and family and celebrate the festival with them.
Distribute Ram Prasad. I am speaking before today’s speaker.
Ayodhya dham ki jai !
We are in Ayodhya right now. I can not express the feelings and vibrations of this place. Only Anant shesh can discribe the festive environment of this place. Hari Hari !
Today’s event is historic in the history of the entire universe. Earlier this has happened two times. Once at the birth of Ram. Ayodhya celebrated such a festival at the time of Ramnavami. Next at the time of Ramchandra returning to Ayodhya from exile such a festival was celebrated. This is the third time Ayodhya is celebrating the festival. Hari Hari !
During this festival an inauguration temple will take place. And also Pran pratishtha of Ramlalla will be performed. All demigods will certainly attain this festival. Along with them political personalities will also arrive Like our prime minister Modi and Yogiji. Around 8000 dignities are invited from all over the world. Today around 100 flights will land at the Valmiki international airport. In this there will be few private jets that will also arrive. By the mercy of Ram many leaders of ISKCON will also attend this festival. I will also attend it on behalf of you all. Hari Hari ! Shri Narendra Modiji has instructed all of us and we are also respecting the same that today we celebrate this festival like Diwali in our homes, temples, cities. Welcome Ram in your homes and install Ram in your altars.
Best is to fix Ram in our heart. That is the idea. When Ram was leaving for exile He asked rishi Valmiki, “Where can I stay ? Valmiki rishi replied that “ Prabhu please tell me where you are not present ? Then I will suggest to you where you can stay. As you have asked me I will suggest you to stay in the heart of your devotees. “ After this Ram said “ Tatasthu “ and He accepted it. Chaitanya mahaprabhu used to say “ mora man Vrindavan
anyera hṛdaya — mana, mora mana — vṛndāvana,
‘mane’ ‘vane’ eka kari’ jāni
tāhāṅ tomāra pada-dvaya, karāha yadi udaya,
tabe tomāra pūrṇa kṛpā māni

Speaking in the mood of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, “For most people, the mind and heart are one, but because My mind is never separated from Vṛndāvana, I consider My mind and Vṛndāvana to be one. My mind is already Vṛndāvana, and since You like Vṛndāvana, will You please place Your lotus feet there? I would deem that Your full mercy. [CC Madhya 13.137]
Try to make your heart Vrindavan or Ayodhya. There is no difference.
Vrindavan dham ki jai !
Ayodhya dham ki jai !
Mayapur dham ki jai !
Jaggannath Puri dham ki jai !
Pandharpur dham ki jai !
So you make your heart as a dham and install Ram in your heart. The Lord is non different than His deities. Try to be pure devotees. Hari Hari !

Since Kṛṣṇa’s name is not contaminated by the material qualities, there is no question of its being involved with māyā. Kṛṣṇa’s name is always liberated and spiritual; it is never conditioned by the laws of material nature. This is because the name of Kṛṣṇa and Kṛṣṇa Himself are identical.’ [CC Madhya 17.133]

Theme : How to fix Lord in our mind and heart
Hare Krishna!
My humble obeisances at the lotus feet of Gurumaharaj. Today is a very special day. Maharaj expressed his mercy on everyone but today I am feeling very special because today we got the association of Gurumaharaj and we got a chance to hear about Ram from Gurumaharaj. I offer my koti koti obediences at the lotus feet of Gurumaharaj. And along with this I offer personal obeisances to each and every devotee present.
Padma mail prabhu and I discussed today’s topic. I gave him two options. I can narrate Ramcharit manas. And he requested me to guide everyone how we can fix the Lord in our mind and heart. Then we finalised to talk on this topic. Maharaj also mentioned this point in his talk today. At that time I was overwhelmed to see that we were sharing the same thoughts with Gurumaharaj. Maharaj told us that when Ram arrived in Valmiki muni’s hermitage then He asked where can I stay ? With a smiling and astonished face Valmiki muni asked the Lord that prabu please tell us a place in which you are not present. Lord is present in each and every particle. Brahmaji has said

Such is the primeval Lord whom I adore. [Śrī brahma-saṁhitā 5.35]
Lord says that I am present in all living entities and in each particle.

Raja Ramchandra has appeared as a human being so He was performing pastimes like a human. After listening to Valmiki’s query Ramji was also a little awkward and smiled and thought that muni is looking at my Lord form therefore he is asking to tell me a place in which you are not present. Then Ramji smiled and said , “ please tell me clearly because you are staying in the forest and since you are aware of this place you suggest a place in which I can stay with my younger brother and my wife. Then Valmiki muni insisted Him to stay in Chitrakoot since it is a beautiful place with all necessary arrangements. After seeing that Ramji was a little shy and awkward Valmiki muni further proposed Him to stay in devotees mind. Many such places are mentioned here in which He can stay with His wife and brother.
Today is certainly the most important day as Ram is returning to opulent Ayodhya. Maharajji said that Anant shesh will also not be able to describe this with his thousands of mouths as Ayodhya has been very beautifully decorated for today’s festival. Maharaj and many other saints have arrived here. Tremendous amazing arrangements and preparations are ready here. Those who are not here can imagine it. We can easily feel and see today’s opulence here. we are able to see many things here but today many events will happen in Ayodhya that we will not be able to witness with these limited materialistic eyes. It is certainly possible that today many demigods will arrive in sky around Ayodhya. Many spiritual decorated planes will arrive in the sky today.
Today is the time as emphasised by maharajji that it is our target and goal to make our heart Vrindavan. As padmamali prabhu said that Chaitanya Mahaprabhu requested Jagganath that My mind uses Vrindavan , you please come in my heart. We should also try to make our heart beautiful so that we can welcome Lord in it.

Our mind and heart is filled with lust, greed , anger and jealousy. The Lord will never appear in such a heart. It is our duty to hear more and more katha and do chanting.

Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the Personality of Godhead, who is the Paramātmā [Supersoul] in everyone’s heart and the benefactor of the truthful devotee, cleanses desire for material enjoyment from the heart of the devotee who has developed the urge to hear His messages, which are in themselves virtuous when properly heard and chanted. [SB 1.2.17]
Now we need to clear up unwanted thoughts from our mind. What is ideal sadhana Bhakti ? The only procedure to do is to hear more and more katha and do chanting. Maharaj also mentioned the procedure to achieve this and Valmiki rushi also spoke about it with the Lord. He explained places where the Lord can stay with His wife and brother. So we will try to learn about these places today.
You all know that raja Ramchandra left all aayushya vasi and He moved forward. Then Raja Ramchandra arrived in Shringverpur with wife and brother. There Lord met Nishad raj and kevat. With the help of Kevat, Lord crossed the river Ganga. Then He stayed in the hermitage of Bharadwaj muni for a few days. Then He went deep into the dense forest and now they arrived in the hermitage of Valmiki muni. Lord asked Valmiki muni where He can stay. Then Valmiki muni suggested as few places as possible. This is described in Ramcharitmanas. Valmiki muni was very happy. Valmiki muni was a very exalted rushi. He composed the entire Ramayan before the advent of the Lord as Ramchandra. He got special mercy from the Lord and he was also a great poet. Such a great exalted Valmiki muni is praying to the Lord to appear in the hearts of devotees like us. The Lord is very compassionate and this is His special compassionate appearance. The prayers of sadhu and mercy of the Lord , only these two things can make it possible for the Lord to appear in the hearts of the devotees whose hearts are filled with lust, desire and anger. We should be deeply grateful to the sadhus as they had showered mercy on us. Tukaram Maharaj has said that I am not able to glorify the sadhus. Even I take out the entire skin from my body and make shoes from it. And I give the shoes to sadhus still it is not enough to repay the debt of these sadhus. This was Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s feelings. Lord was finally happy and He accepted that the devotees who are following the Sadhna , in their hearts Lord will surely stay.

This verse is from the Bala Kanda of the Ramayana. In this verse, Valmiki comes to Lord Rama and asks him about his childhood. He describes an incident from Lord Rama’s childhood. In this verse, there is also a bird named Chataka. The translation of this verse is as follows:
“Listening to the words of the sages, love arises. Ram smiles in his heart. Valmiki says, “Tell me now, O Rama, where you lived with Sita and Lakshmana.” “Those whose ears are like the ocean, they hear many stories. Your heart is not yet satisfied. Chataka, who keeps his eyes on the clouds, always desires to see the ocean. The river Sindhu, which is heavy with water, never fills up. Tell me, where does your heart find peace? May you live happily with Sita and Raghunayaka.”. [from 1.2… To 1.2.128- Rama Carita manasa]
Places for Raja Ramchandra to stay
1 Heart of the devotees whose ears are always hearing Pastimes of the Lord.
Valmiki muni said please listen Ram you can stay in the places with your wife and brother. Please do not come alone, establish the entire Ram darbar.
First place is – The devotees who have made their ears like an ocean to hear your katha. Your pastimes are like rivers. As we see in Prithu maharaj was constantly hearing katha. Sadhu mahatma never gives up hearing the katha of the Lord. A beautiful description is given in Srimad Bhagwat.
vayaṁ tu na vitṛpyāma

Translation
We never tire of hearing the transcendental pastimes of the Personality of Godhead, who is glorified by hymns and prayers. Those who have developed a taste for transcendental relationships with Him relish hearing of His pastimes at every moment. [ŚB 1.1.19]
Sadhu said that we are never tired of hearing the katha. But actually as we go on hearing our desire to hear more and more increases. They request mahatmas please narrate us katha each moment. We see that as the water of Ganga enters the ocean , it is not that the water enters for five six hours and then there is some break for sometime. It is not that the river has stopped and it will start again the next morning at 6:00 o’clock. No it is not like this. Rivers are entering the ocean each moment. They never stop. In the same way the devotees who have made their ears as ocean and continuously without break they are listening to katha. Please stay in the heart of such devotees who are listening to katha continuously and are never satisfied.
The heart of the devotees whose eyes are always sees Lord in all living and nonliving things
Second place is the devotees who had made their eyes like chatak birds. Chatak is a special bird who drinks the rain water which comes in Swati nakshatra. It is possible that it is very very thirsty and it falls in the water of any river or pond or lake. Still it tries hard not to drink a drip of any other water. Maharaj ji once told a story that one chatak bird fell into Ganga river. He was very thirsty and he was dying due to thirst. Still, it kept it’s beak above water and it was floating like this in the water. Someone told the bird to drink the Ganga water now you are dying, at least drink Ganga water. It said that I know that if someone drinks Ganga water or wears tulsi mama at the time of death then that person is liberated and he goes to Lord’s abode. And I do not want liberation. Again I want to take birth as a chatak and therefore I am waiting for the rain drops of Swati nakshatra. In this way the devotees who had made their eyes the same as chatak bird and in any situation they are taking Lord’s darshan. Practically by going to the temple. And by seeing the Lord everywhere.

The humble sages, by virtue of true knowledge, see with equal vision a learned and gentle brāhmaṇa, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a dog-eater [outcaste].
[BG 5.18]
The great devotees always see the Lord in everything. Even if it is moveable or static. They are able to see the Lord everywhere.

Translation
“The mahā-bhāgavata, the advanced devotee, certainly sees everything mobile and immobile, but he does not exactly see their forms. Rather, everywhere he immediately sees manifest the form of the Supreme Lord.” [CC Madhya 8.274]
When Hiranyakashyapu asked Prahlad maharaj
“ Where is your Lord ? Is He present in this pillar ?” Then Prahlad Maharaj replied yes Lord is present in the pillar.

Translation
To prove that the statement of His servant Prahlāda Mahārāja was substantial — in other words, to prove that the Supreme Lord is present everywhere, even within the pillar of an assembly hall — the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, exhibited a wonderful form never before seen. The form was neither that of a man nor that of a lion. Thus the Lord appeared in His wonderful form in the assembly hall. [ŚB 7.8.17]
Hiranyakashyapu said “ I can’t see Him ? “ Prahlad maharaj said “ I can see Him “ so Hiranyakashyapu was angry and he broke the pillar. At that time Lord appeared from that lifeless pillar. In the above verse it is mentioned that to prove that the words of Prahlad maharaj and Brahmaji is correct the Lord appeared from the pillar. Further it is said rūpa biṃdu jala hōhiṃ sukhārī. The devotees whose eyes are happy only by the darshan of Raja Ramchandra or Krsna Chandra please stay in the heart of such pure devotees bechare it is the happiest home for You. Please don’t go alone , please stay with your brother and wife.
The heart of the Devotees whose tongue and mouth always chants Lord’s names and speaks Lords pastimes
Further is this verse which narrates the speech.
Jasu Thumhara Manas bimal hansi jeha mansa
Muktahal gun gun chune ram bashu heay Tasu
Translation
This is a verse written by Tulsidas. The meaning of this verse is “He who has a pure mind, chooses the name of Rama without any musical accompaniment, and wins.” [from 1.2… To 1.2.128- Rama Carita manasa]
The devotees always choose the Lord’s name from everything. The swan is a special bird. It captures all good things or qualities. In the same way the devotees who had made their tongue like swan , it means that the Devotees who always chant Your holy names or speak Your pastimes only , please stay in the heart of such devotees.
Further said
“Prabhu Prasad suchi subhaga subasa. Sadar jasu lahai nit nasa.”
“Tumhahi nibedit bhojan karahin. Prabhu Prasad pat bhushan dharahin.”
“Sis navahin sur guru dwij dekhi. Preeti sahit kari binay biseshi.”
“Charan Ram tirth chali jahi. Ram basahu tinh ke man mahi.”
“Mantraraju nit japahin tumhara. Pujahin tumhahi sahit parivara.”
Translation
“He who has a pure mind, chooses the name of Rama without any musical accompaniment, and wins.” “Eat food with respect and gratitude towards the divine qualities of Lord Rama. Wear clothes and jewelry that are blessed by Lord Rama’s grace.” “Greet and show respect to elders, teachers, deities, and Brahmins.” – “Worship Lord Rama’s feet and trust them because there is no other heart like Lord Rama’s.” “Undertake a pilgrimage to the holy places associated with Lord Rama’s name. Lord Rama resides in the hearts of those who undertake such pilgrimages.” – “Chant the name of Lord Rama and worship him along with your family.”
The heart of the devotees whose nose always smells flowered offered to You
The devotees who always takes the fragrance of the flowers offered to the Lord with very respect. Please stay in the heart of such devotees whose nose always smell flowers , tilak and tulsi offered to You.
The heart of the devotees who are following these practices
The devotees who always accept Lord’s Prasad. He will never accept anything which is not offered to the Lord. It is our duty that whatever new clothes or accessories we buy we should first offer to the Lord then we should use it.
The devotees who offer respect to all demigods but they do not serve demigods. They pray to demigods that please bless us so that we are engaged in the service of the Lord. The devotees offers obeisances to guru, elders and Brahmins.

Translation
“My Lord, You are the well-wisher of the cows and the brāhmaṇas, and You are the well-wisher of the entire human society and world.” [Viṣṇu Purāṇa 1.19.65]
Brahmins are very dear to the Lord. The devotees should offer obeisances with very love and respect and gratitude. It should not be just completing the duty. Once prashanta mataji told us during Bhakti Shastri course that you should offer obeisances to guru or Brahmins as soon as you see them , even if they are far from you. Then again the second time you should offer obeisances when they look at you. Tulsidasji further said that “Preeti sahit kari binay biseshi.”
the devotee should very humbly glorify the guru or the sadhu sant. Kar hit
kari Ram pooja – the devotees whoes hands are continuously serving the Lord.
Jinke hriday Ram bharosa – The devotees who always trust Lord only.
Charan Ram tirth chali jahi. Ram basahu tinh ke man mahi. The devotees who can not stop attending various festivals and occasions like Yatra , maharaj ji’s Vyas pooja etc. even if they face many troubles, hurdles , problems , discomforts etc. The lord can stay in the heart of such devotees.
Many pad Yatra had arrived in Ayodhya today. A special pad Yatra came from Delhi. We organise dindi from Dehu , Alandi to Pandharpur in Ashad month. I invite you to join the dindi and we will reach Pandharpur with lots of kirtan and katha. And we will celebrate special Vyas pooja of maharaj this year.
Tulsidas ji further said an very important point
Mantraraju nit japahin tumhara. Pujahin tumhahi sahit parivara.” – the devotees continuously chant you mantra. Here mantra raj is a word used instead of mantra or chant. So we the devotees of ISKCON already know which is mantra raj, which chant is king of all chants of the Lord. It is mahamantra
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare – Hare Ram Hare Ram Ram Ram Hare Hare
Please stay in the heart of the The devotees who are chanting maha mantra continuously without break. Next Tulsidas ji said the please stay in the heart of the devotees who are worshiping You with family. There are two meanings mentioned for this sahit parivaar – one is with our family. For grahastha it is wife and kids. For brahmacharis it is the members of the asharam where you are staying. The second meaning is for the Lord. It means who never worships the Lord alone. They worship yugal Sarkar like Radha Krishna, Vitthal Rukmini , Siya Ram. And you know that Ramji is worshipped with His darbar.
Dakshine lakshmano yasya Vaame cha janakaatmaja
puratō mārutiryasya taṃ vandē raghunandanam
I salute Rama the delight of the Raghus, who has Lakshmana on his right and the daughter of Janaka (Sita) on the left, and who has Hanuman in his front.
( Ramraksha verse )
Ramji is never worshipped alone. He is worshipped with brother Laxman , wife Sita maharani and Hanumanji.
Today maharaj chanted very loudly and enthusiastically Jai Hanuman ! Jai Hanumanji ! Because Hanumanji is part of Ram darbar.
Many other points are mentioned further but we will stop here. I am really grateful that today I got this service on this special day. I will always remember this. This is a historic moment for me. We have special mercy for the Lord. If your feelings are pure then the Lord somehow appoints you in His service.
New Radha Giridhari near Aravde opening today
Chaitanya Chandra Prabhu has requested me to speak about the temple. I am here in the village near Aravde. I am with the Nimbalkar family. They are a well established family. They have built a big and very beautiful temple in their courtyard. The devotees who are present in Ayodhya today are very fortunate. And around the world this is being celebrated today like maha abhishek etc. I am not so fortunate to go to Ayodhya today. But great coincidence is that on this auspicious time we are inaugurating a temple here. Radha Guridhariji is appearing here. And Vithhal Rukmini is being installed here. For last three days Ram
Kata is organised in Hanumanji temple. Many devotees have arrived here. On today’s special time Lord’s Pran pratishthapana is happening. I am fortunate that I got this seva. This is functioning under the guidance of Chaitanya Chandra prabhu. This Lengre village is very close to Aravde. I invite all the devotees coming to Aravade to please come here also. The Lord is very beautiful here.
I offer my obeisances to Raja Ramachandra and all Vaishnavas.

Ayodhya Rama Mandir Inauguration
Speaker – HH Lokanath Swami Maharaj
Jiv Jaago, Lord Rama is calling you. Lord Rama is going to appear soon. Om namo bhagavate Sri Ramaya. We offer our respectful obeisances unto Sri Rama who is the Supreme personality of Godhead. Not only Lord Rama had appeared in this city, but Lord Rama, Lakshman, Bharata And Shatrughan all of them appeared. All of them are Lord himself.

Translation: Being prayed for by the demigods, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Absolute Truth Himself, directly appeared with His expansion and expansions of the expansion. Their holy names were Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, Bharata and Śatrughna. These celebrated incarnations thus appeared in four forms as the sons of Mahārāja Daśaratha.
The Lord has appeared in four different forms namely, Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughan. So this thiti is Rama Navami, Lakshman Navami, Bharata Navami and Shatrughan Navami alsoat Ayodhya, the place which can’t ever be conquered by anyone else. They always emerge out as victorious since time immemorial. As we have Ayodhya in Spiritual world, similarly we have Bhauma Ayodhya, Ayodhya on this earthly planet.
To visit this Ayodhya means to take shelter of Lord Sri Rama. And if you have not visited this place yet even then you can meditate on the Lotus feet of Lord Rama. You can meditate on his words. You can sing the glories of the Lord’s Lotusfeet or his glories.

Translation:
The two feet of Rama, I remember them in my mind, I praise them by my speech, I bow to them by my head I take resort in them.
You can place your forehead on this sacred dust of Sri Ayodhya Dham. And this way you can take the shelter of Lord Sri Rama. This is written everywhere here in Ayodhya – “Sri Rama Sharanam Gachami”. Sri Krsna saysthis in the Bhagavad Gita and the same applies here also,
sarva-dharmān parityajya
mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja
ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo

Translation: Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.
This is true. Yesterday when I reached the airport named as Maharishi International Airport, there I saw a very big painting and in that painting we can see that even Lord Rama arrived in Pushpak Vimana. Even he is landing here. Lord Rama was Victorious and that’s why we celebrate Rama Vijaya Utsav. So Lord Rama always continues to be victorious. When Lord Rama reached Sri Ayodhya Dham, he was welcomed here. And the entire city of Ayodhya was decorated. Everybody assembled to receive him. Lamps were lit up. It’s like a series of small suns welcoming the Lord.
Su Swagatam Sri Rama! Su Swagatam Sri Rama! So as we came out of the airport, the Padayatra devotees had reached here and they were performing Kirtan, singing the Hare Krsna Mahamantra and Ayodhaya Vasi Rama Bhajan. All Glories to Sri Gaur Nitai. They were on their Chariot. They are Lord Rama and Lakshmana themselves, they are Krsna and Balaram. And they have appeared as Gaur Nitai in Kaliyuga. And then we were walking around with them and they were being welcomed by the people. People were very happy to see them. I was thinking, look they are Lord Rama and Lakshmana themselves.

Translation:
Vasudeva Ghosa says with folded hands, He who is Gaura is He who is Krishna is He who is Jagannatha.
As if Rama and Lakshmana were being welcomed in the form of Gaur Nitai. When we were roaming around in the city of Ayodhya, I had a thought in a similar manner when Lord Rama appeared 10 lakh years back, Mother Earth got ready to receive Lord Rama or 500 years back she prepared herself to receive Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu or asSri Ayodhya Dham was decorated when Lord Rama and Lakshmana returned back after being Victorious.
In the similar way Narendra Modi ji and Yogi ji have tried to decorate this Ayodhya Nagari. And I must say it’s a very successful attempt. Flowers, flags, lighting everything is amazing. Also the entry is restricted for the crowd. Tomorrow we will have the darshans of Lord Rama’s young form. Though they were being worshiped here from time immemorial, still now the Lord is appearing in a new Deity form. So many incidents have happened for the past 1000 years.
When Srila Sukhdev Goswami was narrating Shrimad Bhagavatam, he narrated Lord Rama’s Pastimes very briefly in just 2 chapters. Kings in Kaliyuga will not be very sophisticated. They will be cruel. Srila Sukhdev Goswami says that the Kings of Kaliyuga will be uncivilized, they will not work for the welfare of the society. They will have demoniac qualities dominated by the modes of passion and ignorance. They will exploit the citizens and not protect them. They will Mlecchas and Yavanas, but will be in the form of a King. They will be like Ravana. Ravana means one who makes the people cry because of taxes, exploitation, corruption.

Translation: These barbarians in the guise of kings will devour the citizenry, murdering innocent women, children, cows and brāhmaṇas and coveting the wives and property of other men. They will be erratic in their moods, have little strength of character and be very short-lived. Indeed, not purified by any Vedic rituals and lacking in the practice of regulative principles, they will be completely covered by the modes of passion and ignorance.
An ideal King should be like Sri Rama. He worked for the welfare of the people, and gave them the utmost priority as if they were his own children. So for the past 1000 years such exploitative Kings, murderer Kings, Kings in the mode of ignorance are present. The history has been the witness, how the Muslims and the British have destroyed the country. Our country became independent in 1947 by the sacrifice of several Indian freedom fighters. But this was just a formality it seems. People are yet not independent. So many years have passed, but what to speak of establishing a kingdom of Lord Rama.
His own birth place was under the rule of these Muslims. They had established a Mosque on the top of his birth place. Devotees of Lord Rama were bound up. They were worshiping Lord Rama in a small hut. It wasn’t even easy to reach them. But some years back that Mosque was removed and there was a court case going on. The real authority for this place should be based on Ramayana. Instead of following Dharma, people were going against Dharma.
So a few years back, Lord Rama once again emerged Victorious in his homeland and at the same place where once there was Lord’s temple, a new Temple had been constructed.I saw it yesterday, from far and the new deities that are installed. You might have seen his picture on the internet by now and tomorrow is that auspicious occasion for which lakhs of people are assembling here. Some are coming with Padayatra, others through private Jets, And flights etc.
As the demigods reach earth when the Lord appears, many Hare Krsna Devotees have also reached here and are performing Kirtan. So tomorrow we will continue to perform Hare Krsna Kirtan and Hare Krsna people are distributing Bhagavad Gita. Some of you had Sponsored Bhagavad Gita, those will be distributed here. Around 3-4 lakh Bhagavad Gita’s will be distributed. There is a huge Pandal where devotees will continue to sing, dance and feed Prasadam. They will continue to have this program for the next 20 years.
And what are you doing?Come! It’s very cold here. Why am I wearing all this? It’s not for a show, it’s very cold here. We will be distributing around 10000 plates of Krsna/Rama Prasad. Tomorrow we will have Lord Rama’s temple installation here and at the same time you can perform Hare Krsna Kirtan at your own homes, temples etc. You can distribute sweets and good news with all.
Hare Krsna!

Glories of Sri Ram
Speaker: HG Haridas Thakur prabhu
I am very pleased to be here amongst all you devotees. These days we are hearing a buzz word/song “Rama Aayenge Rama Aayenge “. Unknowingly we keep reciting this song. I received a call from HG Bansidhar prabhu that Guru Maharaj is on the way to Ayodhya and is now at our Home!So actually Maharaj’s coming to our home is like Lord Rama coming to our Jhopadi / small hut. Guru Maharaj’s name by birth is Sri Raghunath and so for us Maharaj is like Lord Rama!

Translation:
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: The son of Mahārāja Khaṭvāṅga was Dīrghabāhu, and his son was the celebrated Mahārāja Raghu. From Mahārāja Raghu came Aja, and from Aja was born the great personality Mahārāja Daśaratha.

Being prayed for by the demigods, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Absolute Truth Himself, directly appeared with His expansion and expansions of the expansion. Their holy names were Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, Bharata and Śatrughna. These celebrated incarnations thus appeared in four forms as the sons of Mahārāja Daśaratha.
For the word Rama, it is said,
ramante yogino ’nante
satyānande cid-ātmani
iti rāma-padenāsau
paraṁ brahmābhidhīyate (CC Madhya 9.29)
Translation:
The Supreme Absolute Truth is called Rāma because the transcendentalists take pleasure in the unlimited true pleasure of spiritual existence.
The Supreme Absolute truth is Krsna but he has a name which is Rama. When Krsna appears to give bliss to the devotees, he appears as Lord Rama. The word Rama is used for Lord Balaram , Parshuram and Sri Sri Radha Raman also. All thesefour are Vishnu Tattva’s- Sankarshan , Aniruddha, Pradyumna and Vasudev.
When Lord Rama appeared , they were very young and Vishvamitra went to Maharaj Dashratha and asked him to take Lord Rama and Laxman to kill the demons. But King Dashratha was reluctant as they were very young. Vishvamitra assured that they will be able to kill the demons. So Lord Rama killed Tarika just like Lord Krsna killed Putana. Then Lord Rama was married to mother Sita. And King Dashratha was planning to renounce the kingdom.
We are aware that Manthara, mis-directed Queen Kaikeyi to ask King Dashratha to coronate Bharata as the King and to send Lord Rama to exile. Bharata and Shatrughna were not present at that time and were in their maternal Grand parents house. Theywere called immediately and saw many bad omens on the way back. In separation from Lord Rama , King Dashratha left his body chanting the holy nameof the Lord that is Rama – Rama.
anta-kāle ca mām eva
smaran muktvā kalevaram
yaḥ prayāti sa mad-bhāvaṁ
yāti nāsty atra saṁśayaḥ (Bg. 8.5)
Translation:
And whoever, at the end of his life, quits his body remembering Me alone at once attains My nature. Of this there is no doubt.
Nanda Maharaj says that I should have left my body just like King Dashratha left his body when Lord Rama left Ayodhya. This was said when Krsna left Vrindavan! In Kamat Giri mountain,Laxman would always guard Lord Rama and Sita Maiya. When we visited there, our mind was immediately transported to Treta yuga. This is the glory of hearing the past times of Lord Rama.
Similarly one can reach Dwapar Yuga while hearing Lord Krsna’s past times. So when we visit Chitrakut we become Rama conscious!Next we go to Chitrakut, where Surpankha came to meet Lord Rama and extended a marriage proposal to Lord Rama. But He directed her to Laxman. Laxman also denied for the marriage. Then she tried to kill Sita Maiya and immediately her nose was cut by Laxman and hence the name of this place is Nasik.
Then Lord Rama meets Marichi. After that, he meets Sugriva. Then Bali is killed. Hanuman Ji finds about the place where Mother Sita was abducted. Then the entire vanar sena was made ready to attack Lanka. Eventually Ravana was killed by Lord Rama. So this appearance of Lord Rama is very auspicious for the entire country. When one hears the past times of Ramayan where all the characters are exemplary, he is purified.
Ramayan shows us, how should be the relationship between a father and son, between brothers and between husband and wife. One can learn from Dashrath Maharaj being an ideal father, all the 4 Brothers being ideal brothers and Sita Maiya being a chaste wife. Sita Maiya could have stayed back in the palace but she accompanied Lord Rama while the exile. Urmila Maiya also was an ideal wife. Sugriva was an ideal friend.
Lord Rama behaved perfectly with his enemy Ravana also. In the kingdom of Lord Rama there were no miseries. The three miseries were not present. They had the boon of leaving their bodies on their own wish just like Bhishma pitamah.

Translation:
When Lord Rāmacandra, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, was the King of this world, all bodily and mental suffering, disease, old age, bereavement, lamentation, distress, fear and fatigue were completely absent. There was even no death for those who did not want it.
The Grihamedhis were taught how to lead an ideal Grhastha life by Lord Rama’s example. That’s why Lord Rama is known as Maryada Purushottam.
eka-patnī-vrata-dharo

Translation:
Lord Rāmacandra took a vow to accept only one wife and have no connection with any other women. He was a saintly king, and everything in His character was good, untinged by qualities like anger. He taught good behavior for everyone, especially for householders, in terms of varṇāśrama-dharma. Thus He taught the general public by His personal activities.
That’s why his Godly features were not revealed. Just like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu never revealed his true identity. But to the devotees, Mahaprabhu revealed his true identity. Lord Krsna tells Uddhav also that just by reciting His holy names, there is purification of one’s heart.
bhaktyāham ekayā grāhyaḥ
śraddhayātmā priyaḥ sataṁ
bhaktiḥ punāti man-niṣṭhā
śva-pākān api sambhavāt (Cc Madhya 20.138)
Translation:
Being very dear to the devotees and sādhus, I am attained through unflinching faith and devotional service. This bhakti-yoga system, which gradually increases attachment for Me, purifies even a human being born among dog-eaters. That is to say, everyone can be elevated to the spiritual platform by the process of bhakti-yoga.
With this, one can see the soul and the Supersoul. So it purifies the most fallen souls. Shabari had nothing to qualify as a devotee. But she had unflinching love for lord Rama. The mantra given by ones Guru is the only way to help us cross over this ocean of nescience. So one must chant with conviction.
Without being Guru conscious, one cannot be Krsna conscious.
This goes hand in hand. We must have faith which comes from reading and hearing from senior devotees. This helps us develop faith in ones Guru and also removes our doer-ship mentality. One feels detached from worldly matters. HH Gopal Krsna Goswami Maharaj and HH Lokanath Swami Maharaj say that one must never compromise on chanting – whether travelling for office work, etc. In fact one must strive to be better in chanting today than yesterday.
As Srila Prabhupada says, that our perfecting in Krsna consciousness depends on chanting. One may go all around the world while chanting. But when one is actually hearing attentively then one is not able to think of anything else but Krsna, Rama and Hare. One may think that I have a full life to chant but our life is very short. So as one become attentive while chanting , then one develops Ruchi – liking for the holy names. So this is the only way to chant nicely.
It time up now. It was an extempore lecture for me. Please forgive me for any mistake.
Hare Krsna!

Seeking the blessings of Maharajshree and all the assembled devotees. Humbly bowing down at the lotus feet of all the assembled devotees. Now, we will try to discuss about Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Translation:
O Lord Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu, all glories to You. O Prabhu Nityananda, all glories to You.O Lord Advaitacandra, all glories to You. O devotees of Lord Gauranga, all glories to you all.[Jaya Jaya Sri Krsna Caitanya Nityananda Verse No 1]
You all must have heard from Maharajshree that we have celebrated Makar Sankranti recently. On that day, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu took sanyas.
Theme – 3 division’s of Mahaprabhu’s lila.
He died at the age of 48. The first twenty four years of Lord Chaitanya’s pastimes are known as Adi-lila. Mahaprabhu accepted the renounced order of life or sanyas when He was twenty four years. His pastimes from the age of twenty four to forty eight years are known as Shesh lila. This Shesh lila is further divided into two parts.
He spent the first six years continuously touring India, sometimes in South India, Vrindavan, Nabadvipa and Bengal. This period of six years is known as Madhya lila.
The remaining eighteen years Chaitanya Mahaprabhu – stayed at Puri. There the Lord performed intimate pastimes with his close associates. These pastimes are known as Antya lila.
When the Lord accepted sanyasa – immediately it led to the beginning of the Madhya lila. When Kaviraj Krishnadas Goswami begins narrating the Madhya lila of Chaitanya Charitamrita, he gives the summary of the entire Shesha lila in the first two chapters. He was not sure whether he would be able to complete writing the Chaitanya Charitamrita.
Later in the Chaitanya Charitamrita – Madhya lila Chapter 3 Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami speaks about the pastimes of the Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu post accepting sannyāsa.
Theme – Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepts sannyāsa

Passing through the tract of land known as Rāḍha-deśa, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu recited the following verse in ecstasy. [CC Madhya 3.5]
The below mentioned verse is very famous.
etāṁ sa āsthāya parātma-niṣṭhām
adhyāsitāṁ pūrvatamair mahadbhiḥ
ahaṁ tariṣyāmi duranta-pāraṁ
tamo mukundāṅghri-niṣevayaiva
Translation:
[As a brāhmaṇa from Avantī-deśa said:] ‘I shall cross over the insurmountable ocean of nescience by being firmly fixed in the service of the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa. This was approved by the previous ācāryas, who were fixed in firm devotion to the Lord, Paramātmā, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. [CC Madhya 3.6]
You must have seen, that when one gets Sanyas inititation, he is given this mantra. There were some videos – taken at Vrindavan, Gurumaharaj had recently given some sanyasi initiations to devotees. He had asked them to receite this mantra.
This mantra or verse is taken from Chaitanya Charitamrita. When Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was wandering he receited this verse. The meaning of this verse is, by becoming firmly fixed in the service of the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord, I can come out of ocean of nescience. This has been confirmed by our Acharyas who were firmly fixed in the devotional service towards the Supreme Lord.
In this manner, Mahaprabhu was wandering, at that time, Nityananda Prabhu met some kids. Nityananda Prabhu tells them “If Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu asks you about the path to Vṛndāvana, please show Him the path on the bank of the Ganges instead.”
nityānanda, ācāryaratna, mukunda, tina jana
prabhu-pāche-pāche tine karena gamana
Translation:
When Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu went toward Vṛndāvana, Nityānanda Prabhu, Candraśekhara and Prabhu Mukunda followed Him.[CC Madhya 3.11]
Mahaprabhu was chanting the holy names like “Hari-Hari!” while walking. Nityananda Prabhu had already ordered or instructed these kids in advance to show Mahaprabhu the path.
tabe prabhu puchilena, — ‘śuna, śiśu-gaṇa
kaha dekhi, kon pathe yāba vṛndāvana’

Translation:
When the cowherd boys were questioned by Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu about the path to Vṛndāvana, the boys showed Him the path on the bank of the Ganges, and the Lord went that way in ecstasy. [CC Madhya 3.18-9]
Mahaprabhu was in ecstasy, hence he could not understand whether it is day or night time. He knew river Yamuna was flowing in Vrindavan. The boys showed Him the path by following the banks of Ganges. He walked on that path in ecstasy.

Translation:
As the Lord proceeded along the bank of the Ganges, Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu requested Ācāryaratna [Candraśekhara Ācārya] to go immediately to the house of Advaita Ācārya.[CC Madhya 3.20].

Translation:
After sending Ācāryaratna to the house of Advaita Ācārya, Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu went before Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu and gave notice of His coming.[CC Madhya 3.23].

śrīpāda kahe, tomāra saṅge yāba vṛndāvana
Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was in ecstasy, and He asked where Nityānanda Prabhu was going. Nityānanda replied that He was going with Him toward Vṛndāvana.[CC Madhya 3.24].
prabhu kahe, — kata dūre āche vṛndāvana
teṅho kahena, — kara ei yamunā daraśana
Translation:
When the Lord asked Nityānanda Prabhu how far it was to Vṛndāvana, Nityānanda replied, “Just see! Here is the river Yamunā.”[CC Madhya 3.25].
Nityananda Prabhu further tells the Lord :”Please take the darshan of river Yamuna”. The river was actually Ganges.
eta bali’ ānila tāṅre gaṅgā-sannidhāne

Translation:
Saying this, Nityānanda Prabhu took Caitanya Mahāprabhu near the Ganges, and the Lord, in His ecstasy, accepted the river Ganges as the river Yamunā.[CC Madhya 3.26].
Lord then took bath in the river Yamuna.
aho bhāgya, yamunāre pāiluṅ daraśana
eta bali’ yamunāra karena stavana
Translation:
The Lord said, “Oh, what good fortune! Now I have seen the river Yamunā.” Thus thinking the Ganges to be the river Yamunā, Caitanya Mahāprabhu began to offer prayers to it.[CC Madhya 3.27].
Mahaprabhu then praised river Yamuna nicely.

Translation:
While Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was standing there without a second garment, Śrī Advaita Ācārya arrived in a boat, bringing with Him new underwear and external garments.[CC Madhya 3.30].
Lord saw Sri Advaita Acarya and started wondering – as Sri Advaita Acarya stayed on the banks of Ganges at Nabadvipa.
tumi ta’ ācārya-gosāñi, ethā kene āilā

Translation:
Still in His ecstasy, the Lord asked Advaita Ācārya, “Why did You come here? How did You know that I was in Vṛndāvana?”[CC Madhya 3.32].
ācārya kahe — tumi yāhāṅ, sei vṛndāvana

Translation:
Advaita Ācārya disclosed the whole situation, telling Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, “Wherever You are, that is Vṛndāvana. Now it is My great fortune that You have come to the bank of the Ganges.”[CC Madhya 3.33].
prabhu kahe, — nityānanda āmāre vañcilā

Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu then said, “Nityānanda has cheated Me. He has brought Me to the bank of the Ganges and told Me that it was the Yamunā.”[CC Madhya 3.34].
Mahaprabhu felt offended. He further said that “Nityananda doesnot behave properly, he is a thief”.
Sri Advaita Acarya tells “It is okay. You have already taken a bath. Water of the Ganges and Yamuna are the same. Please do not worry. Take this towel and new clothes and wear them.”

Translation:
Advaita Ācārya said, “You have been fasting continuously for three days in Your ecstasy of love for Kṛṣṇa. I therefore invite You to My home, where You may kindly take Your alms. Come with Me to My residence.”[CC Madhya 3.38].
Advaita Acarya further states that I have personally prepared some nice foodstuff.
Saying this, Śrī Advaita Ācārya took the Lord into the boat and brought the Lord to His residence. All the eatables were first cooked by the wife of Advaita Ācārya. Then Śrīla Advaita Ācārya personally offered everything to Lord Viṣṇu by performing the Bhoga Aarti.
Post the Bhoga Aarti, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepted the prasadam. Krishnadas Kaviraj Goswami – elaborates this pastime very beautifully. There was a transcendental fight between Nityananda Prabhu and Srila Advaita Acarya. Krishnadas Kaviraj Goswami has described this pastime as well.
Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu offers obeisance’s to Sita Thakurani the wife of Srila Advaita Acarya.
aiche anna ye kṛṣṇake karāya bhojana
janme janme śire dharoṅ tāṅhāra caraṇa
Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu approved of all the methods employed in cooking and offering food to Kṛṣṇa. Indeed, He was so pleased that He said, “Frankly, I will personally take the lotus feet of anyone who can offer Kṛṣṇa such nice food and place those lotus feet on My head birth after birth.”[CC Madhya 3.65].
Lord tells that I will personally – offer my obeisance’s to those devotees who offer nice food stuff to Lord Vishnu. We can understand here that Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is grateful and happy– when we offer nice food to the Supreme Lord and honour the remnants and distribute it to others as well. Lord further states that – when a devotee honours only prasadam – Lord takes the lotus feet of such devotees on His head birth after birth. Thus, Mahaprabhu honoured the prasadam nicely and then started performing kirtan and glorifying the devotees and prasadam.
Thus, this pastime of prasadam took place.
Krishnadas Kaviraj Goswami – describes the items honoured by the Lord in great detail.
Earlier, Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu had sent Ācāryaratna to the house of Advaita Ācārya and he had also sent other devotees to Navadvipa. Advaita Acarya’s house was at Shantipur on the banks of Ganges. The devotees called Saci Mata (the mother of Mahaprabhu) from Nabadvipa.

There was no calculating how many people assembled there before the day was over. The people experienced great pleasure.
What did they do in the evening?
sandhyāte ācārya ārambhila saṅkīrtana
ācārya nācena, prabhu karena darśana
Translation:
As soon as it was evening, Advaita Ācārya began the congregational chanting. He even began to dance Himself, and the Lord saw the performance.[CC Madhya 3.112].
Advaita Acarya and Haridas Thakur danced in an amazing manner. Then Mahaprabhu started to dance. Mukunda would perform kirtan – on seeing Mahaprabhu’s ecstatic symptoms. (This was the fame of Mukunda).
Thus, this program was going on in Santipur daily which included kirtan and prasadam.
ei-mata daśa-dina bhojana-kīrtana

Translation:
For ten continuous days Advaita Ācārya held feasting and chanting in the evening. He served the Lord in this way without any change. [CC Madhya 3.136].

In the morning, after regular duties were completed and the Lord was chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, the people accompanied Śacīmātā to the house of Advaita Ācārya.[CC Madhya 3.139].
Now, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was going to see Saci Mata for the first time after His sanyasa.

As soon as mother Śacī appeared on the scene, Caitanya Mahāprabhu fell before her like a stick. Mother Śacī began to cry, taking the Lord on her lap.[CC Madhya 3.140].

Before taking sanyasa, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had very beautiful – curly hair. Mother Saci started crying, as she could not see the Lord’s hair and she did not know what to do.

Understanding that Lord Caitanya had accepted the renounced order of life, Śacīmātā, crying, said to the Lord, “My darling Nimāi, do not be cruel like Viśvarūpa, Your elder brother.” [CC Madhya 3.143].
You must have seen in the Radha Pardharinath Temple, Visvarupa had taken his sanyasa initiation there. Sacimata is reminding Nimai, your elder brother left me.

Translation:
Mother Śacī continued, “After accepting the renounced order, Viśvarūpa never again gave me audience. If You do like Him, that will certainly be the death of me.[CC Madhya 3.144].
Just see the love of Mother Saci (due to her motherly love she was crying). Why did Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu take sanyasa? He renounced such a loving, kind and compassionate mother just to liberate us. The 11th Canto of Srimad Bhagavatamdescribes Chaitanya Mahaprabhu as follows:
tyaktvā su-dustyaja-surepsita-rājya-lakṣmīṁ
dharmiṣṭha ārya-vacasā yad agād araṇyam
māyā-mṛgaṁ dayitayepsitam anvadhāvad
vande mahā-puruṣa te caraṇāravindam
Translation:
O Mahā-puruṣa, I worship Your lotus feet. You gave up the association of the goddess of fortune and all her opulence, which is most difficult to renounce and is hankered after by even the great demigods. Being the most faithful follower of the path of religion, You thus left for the forest in obedience to a brāhmaṇa’s curse. Out of sheer mercifulness You chased after the fallen conditioned souls, who are always in pursuit of the false enjoyment of illusion, and at the same time engaged in searching out Your own desired object, Lord Śyāmasundara. [SB 11.5.34].
I worship that Maha purusa. He has given up the association of His mother Saci, who loved Him a lot and also His wife Vishnu Priya who was very chaste. Her beauty was equal to the beauty Indra’s wife. Why? For jivas who have left the association of Supreme Lord and are running behind mayadevi. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu wanted to catch hold of such Jivas. Hence, he accepted sanyasa and I worship such a Maha purusa. This is being mentioned in the above verse.
Mahaprabhu left His family including His wife, His wealth, His knowledge and His loving mother. You can imagine, His mother is crying. Post taking sanyasa – Mahaprabhu is dressed in saffron and shaved head. He was very beautiful earlier but now, Saci Mata is getting this type of darshan.
She is telling further that if you leave me I shall die.

Translation:
The Lord met all the devotees one after the other, and looking at everyone’s face individually, He embraced them tightly. [CC Madhya 3.151].

vyathā yena nāhi lāge nimāñi-śarīre
Translation:
Whenever Nimāi falls to the surface of the earth, please do not let Him feel any pain.
[CC Madhya 3.166].
This shows us a mother’s heart. Many devotees requested that today we will cook for Mahaprabhu. Saci Mata tells them that since Nimai has taken sanyasa you will be able to take his darshan but I will not be able to get His darshan. Hence, I will do the cooking as I will not get this opportunity later. Saci Mata became the kitchen incharge for 10 days. She personally cooked and fed Nimai. When the conversation, between Nimai and Saci Mata was going on, Mahaprabhu (Nimai) wanted to go to Vrindavan but seeing the anxiety of Saci Mata (As she tells Him – “I cannot bear the separation from you. Due to the separation I will die).

Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu informed them all, “Without your order, I tried to go to Vṛndāvana. There was some obstacle, however, and I had to return. [CC Madhya 3.174].
Lesson: Mahaprabhu teaches us, when we go for Yatras, we need to take the blessings of the devotees. Else we might have to face obstacles.

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu also asked them to execute the congregational chanting of the holy name of the Lord at their homes, and He assured them that they would be able to meet Him again. [CC Madhya 3.207].

Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu told them, “Sometimes you will come to Jagannātha Purī, and sometimes I shall come bathe in the Ganges. [CC Madhya 3.207].
Please do not worry. Advaita Acarya sends 4 devotees with Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Who were they? Nityananda, Jagadananda, Damodara and Mukunda. These 4 devotees were going to accompany Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in His journey to Jagannath Puri.

Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was unaffected. He left swiftly, and Advaita Ācārya followed Him, weeping.[CC Madhya 3.212].
kata dūra giyā prabhu kari’ yoḍa hāta

Translation:
After He had followed Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu for some distance, Advaita Ācārya was petitioned by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu with folded hands. The Lord spoke the following sweet words.[CC Madhya 3.213].
jananī prabodhi’ kara bhakta samādhāna
tumi vyagra haile kāro nā rahibe prāṇa
Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, “Please pacify all the devotees and My mother. If You become agitated, no one will be able to continue to exist.” [CC Madhya 3.213].
eta bali’ prabhu tāṅre kari’ āliṅgana
nivṛtti kariyā kaila svacchanda gamana
Translation:
Saying this, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu embraced Advaita Ācārya and stopped Him from following any further. Then, without anxiety, He proceeded to Jagannātha Purī.[CC Madhya 3.214].
On the way, they took the darshan of Shakshi Gopal, this is mentioned in the Chaitanya Charitamrita Madhya Lila Chapter 4. Then they take the darshan of Remuna and discuss the pastime of Khirachora Gopinath.
While proceeding further they undertake Kṛṣṇa Katha and Kṛṣṇa Bhajan. Why did I narrate this pastime which happened in the house of Advaita Acarya?
advaita-gṛhe prabhura vilāsa śune yei jana
acire milaye tāṅre kṛṣṇa-prema-dhana
Translation:
If one hears the activities of the Lord at the house of Advaita Ācārya, he will certainly very soon attain the riches of love of Kṛṣṇa. [CC Madhya 3.218].
Hari Bol! We too will surely be able to attain the love of Kṛṣṇa, as we too have heard the pastime of the Lord at the house of Advaita Acarya.
While doing the South India yatra, Mahaprabhu had visited Nashik. He had spent some time at Pancavati. There is a place known as Tryambakeshwar – it has the famous Brahmagiri Parvat.
nāsike tryambaka dekhi’ gelā brahmagiri
kuśāvarte āilā yāhāṅ janmilā godāvarī
Translation:
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu then visited Nāsika, where He saw the deity of Tryambaka [Lord Śiva]. He then went to Brahmagiri and then to Kuśāvarta, the source of the river Godāvarī.[CC Madhya 9.317].
Lord danced and performed kirtan at Pancavati. The residents felt as if Lord Sri Ram had appeared. Lord Ramchandra and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu are non different. As Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had given darshan to his devotees – in Sri Ram form as well. Hence, the devotees take part happily in kirtan.
Then Mahaprabhu continues his journey towards Jagannath Puri. This pastime is mentioned in the Chaitanya Charitamrita.
My gratitude to all of you for hearing this pastime, in your early morning session. Thank you Padmamali Prabhu for giving me an opportunity to speak about Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. As Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s pastimes are not described many a times.
ye līlā-amṛta vine, khāya yadi anna-pāne,
tabe bhaktera durbala jīvana
yāra eka-bindu-pāne, utphullita tanu-mane,
hāse, gāya, karaye nartana
Translation:
Men become strong and stout by eating sufficient grains, but the devotee who simply eats ordinary grains but does not taste the transcendental pastimes of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Kṛṣṇa gradually becomes weak and falls down from the transcendental position. However, if one drinks but a drop of the nectar of Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes, his body and mind begin to bloom, and he begins to laugh, sing and dance.[CC Madhya 25.278].
Thank you Padmamali prabhu and team for giving me this opportunity.
Hare Kṛṣṇa!
Granthraj Chaitanya Charitamrita ki Jai!
