22 August 2020 Day 3 - Radharani - The source of all the Lord’s consorts Jay Radhe! Chanting is taking place from 766 locations. Welcome to this Japa session. You have been chanting for a while already, so you were welcomed then. This welcome is for the Japa talk. Radheeeee Shyam - not only Radhe, but Radheshyam. We are already chanting the name of Srimati Radharani. We are chanting Hare. Hare is Radharani. She is also called Hara, because She has stolen the heart of Krsna. Har means to steal. ya karsati sa krsna Krsna means all attractive. Kri means attracter and ana means the giver of bliss. Krsna attracts everyone and gives them bliss, but Srimati Radharani is attractive to the most attractive. Krsna is called Madan Mohan, One who attracts even the cupid; but Srimati Radharani is called Madan Mohan Mohini, One who attracts even the attracter of Cupid. That's why She is called Hara. Actually Krsna attracts, but does not give bliss directly. We discussed this the day before yesterday that Raya Ramanand had said that the original giver of bliss is Srimati Radharani. Krsna attracts us towards Him and then Radharani gives us bliss. namo mahavadanyaya krsna prema pradayate, krsnaya krsna caitanya namne gauratvise namah Translation: O most munificent incarnation! You are Krishna Himself appearing as Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. You have assumed the golden colour of Srimati Radharani, and You are widely distributing pure love of Krishna. We offer our respectful obeisances unto You. sri-krsna-caitanya radha-krsna nahe anya When Radha and Krsna united and appeared as Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu, they distributed Krsna Prema through this Hare Krsna maha-mantra. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare golokera prema-dhana, hari-nāma-saṅkīrtana Hare Krsna has Srimati Radharani in it. Only She can give Krsna Prema. When being addressed, Hara becomes Hare. While praying our mood is of worshipping and pleading to both Radha and Krsna. We are addressing Them. In Maharashtra, we have many popular kirtans as Radhe Radhe Krsna Radhe! Krsna and Radha are the Hero and Heroine of Goloka Vrindavan, the Lovers of Vrindavan, the most beloved Ones of Braja, the Son of Nanda Maharaja and Daughter of Vrsabhanu. Radha and Krsna are the ultimate. Krsna is the most powerful and Srimati Radharani is His energy. [Aladhani shakti] Yet Radha and Krsna are one. They are the source of everything that exists and prevails. Without energy the Lord is incomplete. The Mayavadis don't understand this and so don't believe in this energy. Everything becomes nullified and formless for them. They don't know about Dhama. Goloka doesn't exist for them. Even this Vrindavan is mortal for them. They only talk about ... brahma satyam jagan-mithyä For them, Heaven is also mithya. Some believe that Heaven is everything. For those who are desiring material pleasure, they perform good fruitive deeds and enjoy the fruits in Heaven. They don't care about the spiritual world. Some people desire to reach Mahesh Dham. It has two parts. The divine abode of Lord Siva is partially in the material world and partially in Vaikuntha. Above that is the abode of Laksmi Narayan or Laksmi Nrsimha or other forms of Visnu. Krsna is the source of all the incarnations. aham sarvasya prabhavo mattah sarvam pravartate iti matva bhajante mam budha bhava-samanvitah Translation: I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this perfectly engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.[BG 10.8] There is also one chapter entitled Kṛṣṇa Is the Source of All Incarnations in Srimad Bhagvatam canto 1. rādhā kṛṣṇa-praṇaya-vikṛtir hlādinī śaktir asmād ekātmānāv api bhuvi purā deha-bhedaṁ gatau tau caitanyākhyaṁ prakaṭam adhunā tad-dvayaṁ caikyam āptaṁ rādhā-bhāva-dyuti-suvalitaṁ naumi kṛṣṇa-svarūpam Translation: The loving affairs of Śrī Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa are transcendental manifestations of the Lord’s internal pleasure-giving potency. Although Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa are one in Their identity, They separated Themselves eternally. Now these two transcendental identities have again united, in the form of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya. I bow down to Him, who has manifested Himself with the sentiment and complexion of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī although He is Kṛṣṇa Himself.[ CC Adi 1.5] In Vaikuntha, there are many Laksmis. Each incarnation of the Lord has Their own Laksmi. Innumerous Laksmis are all expansions of Srimati Radharani. All incarnations are expansions of Krsna and all the Laksmis are expansions of Srimati Radharani. In this way, Radha and Krsna are the sources of everything. In Dvaraka, Krsna becomes Dvarakadhish and Srimati Radharani expands Herself as all the queens/wives of Krsna. In all the abodes, one incarnation of Krsna has one Laksmi. but in Vrindavan, countless millions of Laksmis are engrossed in the service of Krsna. All these Laksmis are there in the form of Gopis. They are all the expansions of Srimati Radharani. I had heard before, but today I read that Rupa Goswami has written in Lalit Madhav, that once after the month of Kartik, in the month of Marghshish, the Gopis worshipped Goddess Katyayani on the banks of Yamuna with the desire that they get Krsna, the Son of Nanda Maharaja, as their husband. nanda-gopa-sutaṁ devi patiṁ me kuru te namaḥ iti mantraṁ japantyas tāḥ pūjāṁ cakruḥ kumārikāḥ Translation: Each of the young unmarried girls performed her worship while chanting the following mantra. "O goddess Kātyāyanī, O great potency of the Lord, O possessor of great mystic power and mighty controller of all, please make the son of Nanda Mahārāja my husband. I offer my obeisances unto you." [SB 10.22.4] Katyayani devi is the Goddess who fulfilling desires, She is going to fulfil the desire of all these gopis. They worshipped Katyayani Devi for 1 full month. Finally on the last day of this worship, when the Gopis were bathing in the Yamuna, Krsna came and stole all their clothes and tied them onto a branch of a tree. Krsna was sitting there on the tree. When the Gopis finished bathing and were about to come out, they realized that their sarees were stolen by Krsna. This is a pastime that happened in a place called Chirghat in Vrindavan. Radharani was also there. The Gopis started shouting, asking for their clothes, and started calling Him a thief and said that they would complain to King Kamsa or His parents. But Krsna was not giving back the clothes. Actually Katyayani Devi was fulfilling their desire to have Krsna as their husband. A girl/woman can be naked only in the presence of her husband. Krsna said, “You wanted Me as your husband and I am here, then why are you shy of Me? You should not be. You may come out.” This is the specialty of Vishrambha Madhurya Rasa. All the Vishrambha moods are divine, Vishrambha sakhya lets all His friends think that He is their friend. He is just like them. Vishrambha Vatsalya makes them feel that they are the protectors and maintainers of baby Krsna. The specialty of Vishrambha Madhurya is engaging the senses in the service of Krsna. There is no need for astonishment if the Lord stole the Gopis clothes. Rupa Goswami has explained that when Krsna becomes Dvarakadhish, He is going to get married. He is going to have 16108 wives. Gopis who were worshipping Katyayani Devi to give them Krsna as their husbands became the Queens of Dvaraka. As I mentioned Srimati Radharani expands Herself as the Gopis and Srimati Radharani and those Gopis further expand as the queens of Dvaraka. Krsna became their husband. In this way Katyayani granted the boon to fulfil their desire. Chandravali of Vrindavan becomes Rukmini, Radharani becomes Satyabhama, Lalita is Jambavati, Vishakha expands herself as the flowing Yamuna who becomes Queen Kalindi. In this way, we can understand how everything is expanded and sourced from Krsna and Radharani. Radha Krsna in Goloka Vrindavan is Dvarakadhish and His queens in Dvaraka, Sita and Rama in Ayodhya, Laksmi Narayana in Vaikunth and so on. Durga is also a shadow of Radharani. She is also known Maha Maya. srsti-sthiti-pralaya-sadhana-saktir eka chayeva yasya bhuvanani bibharti durga icchanurupam api yasya ca cestate sa govindam adi-purusam tam aham bhajami Translation: The external potency Maya who is of the nature of the shadow of the cit potency, is worshiped by all people as Durga, the creating, preserving and destroying agency of this mundane world. I adore the primeval Lord Govinda in accordance with whose will Durga conducts herself.[ Brahma Samhita ] Hare Krsna
