Speaker : H.H Loknath Swami Maharaj Date: 20/3/2026 Main Theme: Opening ceremony of Bhadrak temple I am overwhelmed by the grand welcome given to me by all of you. ! Which I do not deserve. I am not eligible for this. Actually, today is adhivas and tomorrow we will have a grand celebration ! Hari Bol !! Today I welcome you all. I am very pleased and surprised to see a big number of devotees here. I had never thought that such a huge number of devotees would be present here. And I guess many more are coming! Hari Bol !! You have made a huge and extraordinary divine temple. You have given a Virat look to the temple. I am very very happy to see the temple. In 1977 Gudiya math Maharaj requested me to accepted this temple. We were on our padyatra in Mayapur and Prabhupada instructed us to go to Jaggannath Puri. At that time we halted in Gaudiya math Bhadrak on our way to Jagganath Puri. At that time, they offered us this temple to handle. We were actually padyatris so we were unable to take over the temple. For some time we were managing it. I wrote a letter to Prabhupada asking him “can we accept this temple ?” Prabhupada replied “Certainly accept the temple. !” At the time the temple was very small, and it was surrounded by forest. Now you have turned the forest into an auspicious land. In that letter it was mentioned that since GBC for this area is HH Jaypataka swami maharaj, we should hand it over to him. So, we did it. Then he handed it to H.H Bhakti Purushottam Swami Maharaj. You have transformed this small temple into a huge temple ! Hari Bol !! We will be celebrating the opening festival of this temple tomorrow. We will have new deities. The main heart of this temple would be the new deities, and we will be performing Pran pratishtha of the deities tomorrow. We will be performing all necessary rituals, and this is a grand event. I came here during padyatra and I am glad to see that padyatra has arrived here again. That was all India padyatra and this is a special Orisa Utkal padyatra. Padyatra actually plants the seed of bhakti everywhere as per the prediction by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. pṛthivīte āche yata nagarādi grāma sarvatra pracāra haibe mora nāma Translation Chaitanya mahaaprabhu said - In every town and village throughout the world My holy name will be heard. (CB Antya-khaṇḍa 4.126) Chaitanya mahaprabhu not only declared this but He personally preached it through padyatras. He took this route while going for sanyasa from khatwa - Shantipur - Remona - Bhadrak - to Jagganath Puri. Jagganath puri dham ki jai ! He went through this route and He preached Harinam and so again, He Himself and Nityanand Prabhu is preaching Harinam through padyatra. 50 years ago padyatra went from this region and now again padyatra has arrived here. Now I feel at home. Whenever I am with padayatra I feel like I am at home. I have reached the same temple in Bhadrak , which Prabhupada insisted on taking over. Many times, I was informed from time to time that the temple construction was going on and now it will open. But due to some reason it was getting postponed. Today we feel that now finally it will open! It will happen tomorrow!!! Hari Bol ! Thank you all for your huge attendance. Special thanks to HH Bhakti Purushottam Maharaj and other authorities of this temple for remembering me and inviting me. They keep insisting to me that you have to come to the opening ceremony. And so finally I came here, I am here. We are eagerly waiting for HH Jaypataka swami maharaj. He is also arriving !!! Hari Bol ! HH Jaypataka swami maharaj ki jai !! He is also arriving today! Hari Bol !! Jay pataka means victory flag. Maharaj brings victory wherever he goes. Many and more Maharaj’s, prabhu’s and brahmacharis, devotees are on the way. They will be here by tomorrow.
